The former is more likely than the latter. I'd theorize that long after her son's [[spoiler: failed outing]] on Earth, the Queen had another child who, aside from her physical gender and other aspects, was similar to her first child. The aforementioned secondborn being Lash herself. At one point before the events of the movie, Lash up and split from Transexual due to unknown reasons; But given her personality, they were most likely of the selfish variety.
