This series appears to be a massive ShoutOut to ''VideoGame/KirbyMassAttack'': we have ten Kirbies, and the series is set on Popopo Islands. The only character from outside ''Mass Attack'' that isn't generic is Adeleine. But there are two elements from ''Mass Attack'' that miss from ''Kirby Guardian'': [[BigBad Necrodeus]] and Kirby's heart. Now, Necrodeus seems understandable enough, since the fact Kirby never existed in the Kirby Guardian universe until the ten Kirbies that live with Adeleine came in the picture made Pop Star much glummier, keeping it safe from Necrodeus, who hates light and any SugarBowl setting. But what about Kirby's heart? Well, think about it. ''Mass Attack'' implies Kirby's heart is a star. And pay attention to a detail about Adeleine: once she adopts the Kirbies, her wardrobe becomes more "starry" (Adeleine's outfits reference stars, one way or another). Add to that the fact [[spoiler: Void tried to use Adeleine to reincarnate itself into a Kirby]] and the conclusion is that Kirby's heart rests within Adeleine. And since the ten Kirbies in ''Mass Attack'' follow Kirby's heart in order to become one Kirby, the Kirbies originally followed Adeleine around because they thought she could make them one Kirby, but they grew fond of Adeleine treating them like babies.

[[WMG: Necrodeus will appear as part of a grand finale]]
He will go after the Kirbies and they will need to confront them, likely with Adeline and perhaps even Dedede coming to help them.

* Somewhat mitigated by Knuckle Joe's cameo in Episode 4; though one must keep in mind that Knuckle Joe isn't considered to be a Star Warrior.

For the games, it's rather obvious; Adeleine is a main character [[spoiler: and Episode 6 references Void]]. But how are there anime elements? In the comics featuring Dedede, [[CanonForeigner Escargoon]] is absent. Well, it's stated that Kirby never existed in the Kirby Guardian universe, leading to the reason I made this WMG: the closest thing I can find as an explanation to Kirby never existing is that [[TheBadGuyWins Nightmare managed to destroy each and every single Star Warrior]]; I mean, while Adeleine was growing up under Dedede's wing, [[FridgeHorror Meta Knight is nowhere to be seen]].

[[WMG: This series actually takes place in a PatchworkFic universe between the games and [[Anime/KirbyRightBackAtYa the anime]].]]
