In the mission, he can still be charmed into giving the Sole Survivor the key to Kellogg's house, which an Institute synth would never do. While the SS follows Dogmeat to Fort Hagen, an Institute Synth did its work and sent Pat to the great national convention in the sky.

The Outcasts left the Brotherhood because they objected to the reforms under Elder Lyons, so Maxson may have re-intergrated them with the promise of a return to the Brotherhood's roots under his command. Likewise he could have offered any Enclave survivors/PoW's/noncombatants a chance to join up if they were willing-they're already knowledgeable in advanced technology and power armor, so they'd make perfect recruits so long as they were willing to renounce their allegiance to the Enclave.

3) Kellog. Clearly at one point the Institute was researching cybernetics and related life extension technologies. According to holotapes that can be found in abandoned areas during the Brotherhood's assault this line of research was eventually abandoned for unknown reasons but they still had access to it and dusted if off for Kellog to use.

While stuck with the Raiders, she was abused by being attacked by their attack dogs or, uh, [[spoiler:[[BestialityIsDepraved other stuff]]]]. She feels disgusted even being around Dogmeat and while she restrains herself from splattering his puppy brains over a Red Rocket gas pump, she's not going to act like a dog person. And seeing that she won't even outright admit to being a SexSlave to the Raiders, Cait will definitely keep that little tidbit out of her trauma dumping sessions.

While there are still many bottles of Nuka-cola out there, they will eventually run out. Vim on the other hand can be [[https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Vim manufactured locally]], does not contain rads and restores more hit points. Out in new vegas they will make their own homebrewed nuka-cola.

* Piper went missing and Nat travelled to wherever ''Fallout 5'' is in search for her. She will wear, or at least keep, [[TragicKeepsake Piper's trenchcoat and/or press cap]], or carry Piper's 10mm pistol. Piper will either never be found or turn out to be dead.
* Nat will inherit her sister's vices for smoking and/or [[SweetTooth sweets]].
* Nat will be romanceable.

Piper lies to everyone, including the Sole Survivor, about Nat being her sister either out of shame or to cover up bad memories of how Nat was likely conceived.

As a companion. She has little purpose in the game except to make Piper likeable and hawk news articles.

Either through the Institute controlling him or just plain fear and anger at being betrayed, Danse fought off and killed the Brotherhood soldiers who were trying to apprehend him, but was overcome with guilt while hiding away and accepted his death.

Hence why glasses increase their Perception rather than clouding it.

Hence why Dogmeat is the player's only companion in the final slide.

As a merchant selling water and drinks of dubious quality or a shady crook who ends up killed. He would have fled the Commonwealth after Diamond City found out his water was contaminated.

As a companion.
