* Mostly jossed, the game didn't end at Episode 1000. It could still end later on in 2023, though, although it's less likely now, because if it isn't going to end at Episode 1000, when ''will'' it end?
* Even more likely jossed now that a new blocker has been introduced.

[[WMG: Jelly will be required for orders in the future]]
As of early 2024, the objective screen that appears when a jelly level is clicked on reads "Clear all the jelly!"...but the jelly icon ''doesn't'' appear, unlike the other level types. Assuming this is not a bug, maybe they're making levels with jelly orders in the future and don't want to get confused. This wouldn't be the first time when a design difference happens because of an upcoming feature related to jelly. In March 2016, the jelly requirement started appearing on the left side of the board on Flash version because of the then-upcoming Mixed levels. In Spring 2021 or so, the required number of jelly squares was changed to "Number of tiles with jelly on them" to "Total number of jelly ''layers'' required" because of the Jelly Jar potentially rendering levels UnintentionallyUnwinnable if it spawned jelly on a tile which already had one-layered jelly. With this design change, maybe pure jelly levels won't have a jelly icon on the objective screen, while order levels which require jelly ''will'' have the icon, so players don't get confused.

* Partially jossed, the wiki shows that the files go up to at least Episode 1002, meaning that the game won't end at Episode 1000, per se. It could still end later on in 2023, though, although it's less likely now, because if it isn't going to end at Episode 1000, when ''will'' it end?

It makes sense for a new level type to be introduced in 2024 if the game's still going by then, especially since it will be two years after the last proper new feature was introduced.

[[WMG: Episode 1000's name]]
Since the April Fool's Day event in 2020, the game cycles through the same 10 episode names ad nauseum. Currently, the one exception to this is Episode 668, which has the name "Milestone Meadow", owing to the fact that it contains [[MilestoneCelebration Level 10000]]. In a similar vein, Episode 1000 could have a special name that deviates from the 10 recycled names. If it does, here's some ideas:
* Millennium Meadow
* Milestone Mountain(s)
* Soda Celebration
* Pastille Party
* Sugar(y) Soirée

[[WMG: There will be a new level type introduced in 2024 if new levels are still being released by then]]
Discounting the four level types that were introduced from the very beginning, a new level type has been introduced every four years so far:
* 2012: Order levels
* 2016: Mixed levels
* 2020: Rainbow Rapids levels
It makes sense for a new level type to be introduced in 2024 if the game's still going by then, especially since it will be two years after the last proper new feature was introduced.

It's been over a year with nothing truly new, the semi-new features of 2022 have been removed (along with quite a few other elements), the early levels (some of which were originally released in 2012, the year ''Candy Crush'' first began) have undergone a massive redesign that means they include blockers that were originally released circa ''2020'', NothingIsTheSameAnymore, the 2023 All Stars event almost feels like a sendoff, and Episode 1000 is fast approaching. Episode 1000, which could easily serve as the GrandFinale, will release in September 2023 if three episodes continue to be released every week, as has been the trend since 2018-2019. To make it an even 1000, after Episode 992, four episodes will be released in both subsequent weeks (which has happened occasionally). It would explain why they're not making any more blockers; if the game is coming to an end, they wouldn't need to.

In early 2023, the map underwent a drastic change, all episode names were altered, and the map looks completely different. The last time the map underwent such a big change, an entirely new level type was introduced mere months later. Given that nothing truly new has been introduced for almost a year, it's not out of the question to think that the map change was done to compress file space for the upcoming new feature.

* Any of the DummiedOut features (special jelly fish, piñata, jelly color levels, lilypad) making a comeback (and possibly being retooled).
* The white chocolate colour bomb from one of the Power Pops as an in-game feature.
* Coloured icing that can only be destroyed by candies of the same colour.

Starting in September, one of the new in-game events is called "Pick a Pumpkin", and it involves having to pick the pumpkin with boosters hiding under it. Picking the one with the Jellyvore will cause you to lose all boosters you picked up from the event. Three things to note: A) pumpkins are associated with Halloween, B) the Jellyvore's goal in the aforementioned event is to eat candy, and C) ''Candy Crush Jelly Saga'' has a similar element known as the Candyvore (which eats candy around its radius every few moves until it's destroyed). With Halloween coming up, the Jellyvore could be introduced as an in-level feature that behaves in a similar way.
