* DamageSpongeBoss: While being tanky is expected of a FinalBoss, [[spoiler:the Oppressor]] has 852638 HP on Normal, which is far more than the postgame bosses of the main game. Keep in mind that the player also has to defeat [[spoiler:Captive Nazamil]] first, who has 538605 HP, which means the final boss gauntlet has a total of 1391243 HP for the loseable parts. Suddenly, it makes sense why the game gives the player the Devil's Arms at the same time the final boss room is unlocked.

* BookEnds: The ending of the DLC does this with the first story boss of the main game. After defeating Balseph at the start of the game, Alphen uses the Blazing Sword to unleash a huge beam of fire, which breaks down the gate on the wall that contains Orbus Calaglia. At the end of the fight with the [[spoiler:Emergence Suppressor, Alphen, with the help of his friends, unleashes a similarly intense beam of fire to push back the boss's Despelatega Alma, allowing him to tear down the metaphorical wall around Nazamil's heart]].

** The OldSaveBonus features carries over things like arte usage, on top of the bonuses it gives for carrying over one, making learning hidden artes quicker and less frustrating than if the player didn't already learn them. The Devil's Arms are also still around, they just are locked until [[spoiler:the final boss fight and their kill counts got reset, though their initial stats are close to the endgame weapons to compensate]].

* WishfulProjection: The Dahnan extremists deluded themselves into believing Alphen shares their goal of wiping out the Renans simply because he liberated the Dahnans a year ago. They refuse to accept that Alphen simply wants to protect the innocent no matter their race, and Alphen is disturbed that he's been made into a Dahnan supremacist icon.

** Similarly, the Renan extremists in Pelegion want Dohalim to support their supremacist views and start a [[FalseFlagOperation false flag]] kidnapping of Fahria in the delusion that doing so will cause Dohalim to turn on the Dahnans.
