''Super Robot Wars X'' is the installment succeeding ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWarsV'' from the ''VideoGame/SuperRobotWars'' franchise released for the [[UsefulNotes/PlayStation4 Sony PlayStation 4]], and [[UsefulNotes/PlaystationVita Sony PlayStation Vita]] simultaneously on March 29, 2018 in Japan, with a launch in Asia on April 26. ** Vilkiss' base evasion is no longer the highest in the game at 130 compared to ''V'' at 140.

** Gurren Lagann is available very early in the game and makes scenarios a breeze to get through, assuming you can get past his weaknesses (see CrutchCharacter above).

Of course, he never gets that far as he is killed and his superweapon destroyed by the heroes.]]

** ''Anime/CrossAnge'': [[Anime/MashinHeroWataruSeries Wataru]] and [[Anime/CodeGeass Lelouch]] play roles in smoothing out the plotline. Ange and the other Arzenal residents end up [[DefrostingIceQueen defrosting]] because of them with their involvement altering some plot points: a more proper rescue mission for Sylvia is carried out, Salamandinay does not attack Arzenal, and Ange spends more time outside the island prison to not [[StockholmSyndrome grow attached to it]]. By the time, the game ends in the IF Route: [[spoiler:Ange reconnects with Sylvia in helping deal with the remaining unruly citizens and invites everyone back to Misurugi thereafter.]]

*** Ange's own personality changes by encountering [[Anime/MashinHeroWataruSeries Wataru]] and [[Anime/CodeGeass Lelouch]].
*** While the X-Cross fleet still need to fight against sudden dragon attacks, they're not as frequent as in ''V'' and the protagonists aren't interested in ensuring kills.
*** Also, Ange's rescue of Sylvia goes differently ([[spoiler:although she still gets betrayed]]). Instead of going on her own in a sloppy infiltration of Misurugi, [[Anime/CodeGeass Lelouch]] intervenes while calling her out on such reckless maneuver. But rather than simply stop Ange, he offers something even better, an all-out assault on Misurugi by X-Cross to perform the rescue operation.
*** The attack on Arzenal has changed again. [[spoiler:Salamandinay's encounters with [[KidHero Wataru]] draw her to X-Cross' side long before she would have destroyed it. Instead, Embryo recruits the Diamond Rose Knights by stealth and has them lead an easily-repulsed assault alongside himself, [[MindManipulation mind-controlled]] dragons, [[Anime/NadiaTheSecretOfBlueWater Neo-Atlantean forces]], and eventually the [[OriginalGeneration Keepers of Order]].]]
*** [[spoiler:After Aura tells her about Embryo, Sylvia’s deep regret causes her to stand up without being intimidated and forced by her older sister. After the final battle, she agrees to make amends and they become sisters again.]]
*** Norma’s AntiMagic does not counter all magic; it only disrupts Dracunium-based magic used by Mana and the Dragons. Other magic systems still affect them like anything else ([[spoiler:As [[Funny/SuperRobotWarsX Magical Girl Salia]] can atest]]).

*** Even with little to no upgrades, Gurren Lagann is one with Simon's high level "Potential", "Spiral Power"[[note]]Hit rate increases and final received damage is reduced. Effect rises with the skill's level. Getting Simon's ace bonus gives him the exclusive "Spiral Infinity" (gives him Spiral Power Level 9 and at 130 will, increases all stats by 10).[[/note]], the new "Resolve" spirit command[[note]]Increases Extra Command Gauge by 5[[/note]] and Viral's support commands, Gurren Lagann will firmly be at the top of player's kill counts, especially since Simon joins [[DiskOneNuke very early in the game]]. His weaknesses however are that the Gurren Lagann's item slot only has one slot and the Gurren Lagann is an EN guzzler with two attacks that use ammo. The weaknesses go away once Simon has access to the Super Galaxy Gurren Lagann and Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann.

* CrutchCharacter: A downplayed example but [[Anime/BuddyComplex Dio Junyou Weinberg]] and his Bradyon is this for [[Anime/BuddyComplex Aoba Watase]] in his Luxon as Aoba starts the game at a low level with zero kills on his belt and only has the "Persist"[[note]]Decrease damage taken by 87.5% for one battle.[[/note]] spirit command for a large portion of the early game while Dio has both "Focus"[[note]]For 1 turn, hit & evade rates increase by 30%.[[/note]] and "Flash"[[note]]100% chance to evade the next attack.[[/note]] which both can share with the "Coupling"[[note]]At 120 will, if either Aoba or Dio cast Focus, Flash, Bullseye (100% chance to hit an enemy for the entire turn) and Intuition (casts Bullseye and Flash on self)[[/note]] mecha ability. However later on, Aoba is able to build up morale on his own with the "Spirit"[[note]]+10 will to self[[/note]] spirit command and can survive in the front lines while Dio will start to rely more on Aoba with Aoba's spirit commands and has a harder time to reach the morale thresholds needed for their CombinationAttack plus his combination attacks aren't post movement unlike Aoba's.

* TheFettered: [[Anime/CodeGeass Lelouch]], surprisingly enough. Part of his EstabilishingCharacterMoment has him declare that he has no intention to use his [[CompellingVoice Geass]] ever again. [[spoiler:He only breaks this vow once, to ensure that [[AbusiveParents Marianne]] won't be a threat anymore.]]

*** Though she initially starts off rather [[HolierThanThou preachy and self-righteous]] towards the others to the point of SuicidalPacifism, Nadia's complaints aren't nearly as common as in the original series, and she stops [[ComplainingAboutRescuesTheyDontLike whining towards her allies about the fighting]] pretty early into the game, understanding that the difference between the X-Force and the villains ([[RevengeBeforeReason including Captain Nemo]]) is that her friends fight not because they want to but because they have to, and villains like Gargoyle make it impossible to live without needing to fight just to survive.
