* GreenHillZone: Forests and fields are the default island type, and an easy place to start your settlement due to lacking any unique and dangerous enemies and having plentiful trees.

Added DiffLines:

''Necesse'' is a SurvivalSandbox game by Mads Skovgaard. As with other games of this genre, the player spawns in the wilderness with some basic wooden tools, and uses these tools to gather materials, make better tools and weapons, and build shelter. [[ConstructionAndManagementGames Colony Builder]] elements are present, as the player can designate an island as a settlement and recruit travelers and villagers to [[GameplayAutomation automatically perform tasks that would be tedious for the player]] like fishing or cutting trees. The player can also travel to other islands with different biomes.

!''Necesse'' contains the following tropes:

* AnAdventurerIsYou: While there's nothing ''forcing'' players to conform to one class, equipment is designed to push players towards either melee, ranged weapons, ranged magic, or summons.
* ArrowsOnFire: Stone arrows can be combined with a torch to add DamageOverTime.
* EquipmentHidingFashion: Equipment can be worn in a cosmetic slot over an equipped item, giving its appearance while keeping the stats of a different item. Some items can only be worn as cosmetics.
* EverythingsDeaderWithZombies: Even though this isn't a horror game, zombies spawn all over the place at night and in caves.
* FinalDeathMode: Hardcore mode can be enabled when creating a world, which prevents respawning after death.
* GameplayAutomation: Settlers can be asked to automatically do certain tasks like cutting down trees, planting and harvesting seeds, or fishing.
* GiantSpiders: Giant spiders are enemies that can be found in web-covered areas of caves. An even bigger spider, the Spider Queen, is the boss of the Ice Caves.
* AnInteriorDesignerIsYou: There are many craftable pieces of furniture that serve no purpose to the player, but they aren't fully useless, since a well-decorated room makes settlers happy and makes them work faster.
* ItemCrafting: It's a SurvivalSandbox game, so this is a given. The main gameplay loops consists of finding materials, using these materials to make better tools, using these tools to either get rarer materials or advanced crafting stations, and so on. Settlers can be asked to automatically craft certain items.
* SummonMagic: One of the main types of weapon. They summon some creatures that follow you and automatically attack enemies. You can only have a limited amount of summons at once, which can be boosted with equipment or potions.
* WeBuyAnything: The Pawnbroker randomly drops by and can be used to exchange any item for gold coins.
