''Kid Pix'' is an art and drawing program created by Craig Hickman in 1989 after seeing his creative child struggling with the use of Apple's art program [=MacPaint=]. The first version was released for Macintosh in 1989 as {{Shareware}} before it was purchased by Creator/BroderbundSoftware and released to a general audience in 1990. Since the original release, the program received incremental updates before getting a sequel in 1994. Subsequent sequels were released in 2000, 2008 and 2018. Since 2004 the series has been developed and distributed by Software [=MacKiev=].
