On June 7th, 2021, a version for ''VideoGame/MidFightMasses'' was released, and can also be downloaded from [[https://gamebanana.com/mods/293369 GameBanana]]. The plot is actually different compared to the original version: X-Girlfriend (yes, [[AdaptationNameChange there's a naming pattern now]]) wants to join X-Sarvente's church because X-Boyfriend is an angel while her parents are demons, which she considers a huge problem. On June 7th, 2021, a version for ''VideoGame/MidFightMasses'' was released, and can also be downloaded from [[https://gamebanana.com/mods/293369 GameBanana]]. The plot is actually different compared to about the original version: X-Girlfriend same as you would expect from a re-skin of ''Friday Night Funkin[='=]''. Set within an alternate universe where everyone is inexplicably an x-ray version of themselves, X-Boyfriend (yes, [[AdaptationNameChange there's a naming pattern now]]) wants to spend time with X-Girlfriend, but [[WeirdnessMagnet can't help but get into a rap battle every week]], whenever he challenges others being rap-happy as he is, or his opponent came forward to challenge him. Not only does this mod change the sprites, but it changes the background and overall context of the weeks (or at least the ones with dialogue). Like with ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinMinus'', it also tends to take creative liberties with the skeletons, such as making Boyfriend an angel or [[VideoGame/MidFightMasses Ruv]] a demon.

And Kaechii didn't just stop at the base game, they went in to make a couple of {{GameMod}}s in this style as well. The currently released/known ones include:
* ''VideoGame/MidFightMasses'': X-Girlfriend
wants to join X-Sarvente's church because X-Boyfriend is an angel while her parents are demons, which she considers a huge problem. However, things start to turn south right when X-Boyfriend defeats X-Sarvente twice in a rap battle...
* ''VideoGame/ConcertConundrum'': It is currently unknown what the plot will be, outside of "Music/HatsuneMiku's X-Ray counterpart battles X-Boyfriend". It is currently in the works.

* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: All three of them were originally human, but their races were changed for this mod. These include:
** Boyfriend as an angel.
** Pico as a [[LizardFolk humanoid reptile]], quite like in ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinMinus''.
** Ruv as a demon.

to:

** *** Pico as a [[LizardFolk humanoid reptile]], quite like in ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkinMinus''.
** *** Ruv as a demon.demon.
** Music/HatsuneMiku, who was an android from a BadFuture with no music, is an angel here.

* AnatomyAnomaly: Pico's cracked skull and hair bones are understandable, considering that he's been though quite some trauma when explaining the former and he's apparently supposed to be a lizard in this mod for the latter, but Music/HatsuneMiku is another story. According to the mod's wiki page, Miku is an angel here, but if you look at her cameo appearance in Week 5, you would notice that ''her ribbons and hair have bones''.

* OurDemonsAreDifferent: Our demons are (mostly) depicted as ribbon-like skeletons with spiky teeth, horns, and at least a bit of bone not connected to the rest of the skeleton.

* AdaptationDeviation: In the original ''VideoGame/MidFightMasses'', Boyfriend and Girlfriend enter the church where the week takes place with the intent of [[PottyEmergency looking for a bathroom]]. Here, Girlfriend actually wants to join the church due to her parents being demons, when things start to turn awry for her and Boyfriend after the latter beats Sarvente the second time.

* AdaptationNameChange: As showcased in the ''VideoGame/MidFightMasses'' version, everyone now has a "X-" prefix before their names. See ThemeNaming.

* AdaptationalVillainy: Sarvente is hit with a dose of it. In the original version of ''VideoGame/MidFightMasses'', [[spoiler:she is basically {{Satan}} in the sense that she rules over {{Hell}}, but left the throne due to not caring about Hell]] and while her intentions to convince Boyfriend and Girlfriend to join her church were noble, seeing as she's trying to lead others towards God as her mission for the rest of her life, she [[NotGoodWithRejection just wasn't going to have it when the two show no interest]], to the point where [[spoiler:she eventually tags Ruv in and then goes OneWingedAngel when he fails to defeat them]]. * BizarreAlienBiology: All the demons' skeletons in the mod, which include Girlfriend, her parents, Monster, Sarvente, and Ruv, have bits of bone not connected to the rest of the skeleton, notably with their skulls. Monster not only has a bone in his hat, but also has a sort of dark indigo substance making up most of his skeletal aside from his skull.

* ExpressiveHealthBar: Like in the original, the rivals will show [[WingdingEyes X's on their eyes]] if the player has an advantage. However, what's rather unique to the game is that Boyfriend's skull in his icon cracks if the player's health gets low enough and the same can go for the rivals if the player is doing well.
* ExpressiveSkull: Some characters' eye sockets can move. Notable with Pico's up animation and Mommy Mearest's right animation and especially noticeable with Girlfriend in the tutorial and Sarvente.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: In the ''VideoGame/MidFightMasses'' version, when Sarvente does an alternate pose during "Worship", her skeleton turns fuchsia, her right eye gets a magenta gleam, some black strings appear between her horns, and the flower in her microphone withers. [[spoiler:If you are playing on Hard mode like in the original game, you battle [[OneWingedAngel Demon Sarvente]], who has all the features except for the strings between her horns.]]

It temporarily withers in "Worship" when she performs one of her alternate poses, and [[spoiler:by the time she goes OneWingedAngel in "Gospel", it's already fully-withered]].
* HolyHalo: Boyfriend has a halo over his skull to indicate that he's an angel. The halo actually breaks when you fail a song, but comes back after hitting the retry button.
* LizardFolk: Pico's skeleton in this mod portrays him as this.
* [[RedEyesTakeWarning Magenta Eyes, Take Warning]]: Sarvente gains a magenta gleam in her eye if she performs an alternate pose during "Worship in the ''VideoGame/MidFightMasses'' version of the mod. [[spoiler:Her demon form also has glowing magenta eye sockets.]]

* AnatomyAnomaly: Pico's mod appearance shows him to be pretty decent at first...but then there's his skull. The cracks in it are fine considering what he's been through, but he has a single row of fangs where both rows of teeth normally are and there are also bones in his hair, making his skull look more lizard-like despite being human.
* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: Boyfriend, who was a human in the original ''Friday Night Funkin[='=]'', is an angel in this mod.
* BizarreAlienBiology: Girlfriend's parents' skeletons have bits of bone not connected to the rest of the skeleton, most obvious with Daddy Dearest. Monster not only has a bone in his hat, but also has a sort of dark indigo substance making up most of his skeleton aside from his skull.

''Friday Night Funkin' X-Ray Mod'' is a ''VideoGame/FridayNightFunkin'' GameMod that changes the characters' sprites and icons into an x-ray version of themselves, clearly based on the game over screen of the original game. It was created by Kaechii and is available to download off of [[https://gamebanana.com/mods/284782 GameBanana]].

* BizarreAlienBiology: Apart from Girlfriend herself, whose appearance in the mod is just based on the game over screen from "Stress", her parents are also based on said appearance, but Kaechii made Daddy Dearest's skeleton purple and Mommy Mearest's magenta. Also unlike Girlfriend, they have some individual bones aside from the skull, notably with Daddy Dearest.
* ExpressiveHealthBar: Like in the original, the rivals will show [[WingdingEyes X's on their eyes]] if the player has an advantage (although, Boyfriend subverts this if the player's health is low). However, unique to the game is that Boyfriend's skull in his icon cracks if the player's health gets low enough and the same can go for the rivals if the player is doing well.

* HolyHalo: Boyfriend has this over his skull to indicate that he's an angel. The halo actually breaks when you fail a song, but comes back after hitting the retry button.

* XRayVision: The sprites are based off the x-ray of Boyfriend's skeleton from the original game's game over screen, with the character's normal sprite blotted out and the skeleton put over it. Girlfriend is also wearing a pair of x-ray specs on the title screen.

* ExpressiveSkull: Some characters' eye sockets can move. Notable with Pico's up animation and Mommy Mearest's right animation and especially noticeable with Girlfriend in the tutorial.

Not sure if this is worthy of getting a page of its own but it's worth a shot.
