Hi, my name is Aaron and I'm a Trope addict. Mostly I just read, but I do add to the collective fount of knowledge when I have something that hasn't already been added. I'm most active here when it comes to {{RPG}}s, both TabletopGames and VideogameTropes. But I occasionally have something to say elsewhere as I read through. I'm active on LiveJournal and JournalFen (same username on both) and I can be reached on Xbox Live under the gamertag Phelanar if you want to talk {{RPG}}s or games in general.

I'm active on LiveJournal and JournalFen (same username on both) and I can be reached on Xbox Live under the gamertag Phelanar if you want to talk {{RPG}}s or games in general. I'm a contributor/host on several podcasts, like 4geeks4e.com, dm-roundtable.com, did a guest spot on The Tome Show, and have participated in several ActualPlay podcasts.

* {{Shadowrun}} - Played as a Dwarf Hermetic mage by the handle Snowman. He can cast fireballs which can be seen from space. However, now Snowman is on hiatus. Not dead, just not active. Instead, I am currently playing a stealthy Elven Physical Adept who uses a bow called Harbinger. Yes, a magical Elf with a bow. The cliche was intentional.
* DungeonsAndDragons 4th Edition. I don't care what people say. I love 4e and think it's way better than previous editions. I'm currently playing in 4 games. A play by post game as an Elf Ranger, local Monday game as an Elf Monk, local Friday game as a Dwarf Warden, and local Sunday game as a Dragonborn Paladin.

A play by post game as an Elf Ranger, local Monday game as an Elf Monk, local Friday game as a Dwarf Warden, Ranger and local Sunday a bi-weekly online game as a Dragonborn Paladin.
Swordmage. I've recently begun to DM again, rebooting a campaign that I had been running locally for an online group. It's being recorded for an ActualPlay podcast
* DresdenFilesRPG - I love this game and this system. I'm playing it with a small and very good group online and we're recording it for ActualPlay podcasts. I love the Dresden Files novels and the FATE system is really a lot of fun, even if it does take a lot of work to get used to in having that kind of narrative control or back and forth negotiation with the GM.
* {{Exalted}} - My awesome best friend has decided that she's going to dip her foot into the GMing pool by running a play-by-post Exalted game and I can't wait to play.
* DragonAge - I admit, liscensed RPGs are... hit or miss. Some are great, but some suck worse than the Twilight series. However, DragonAge is excellent and a solid game. Just started a bi-weekly local game using the system.

* {{Exalted}} - I love how over the top and turned up to 11 this is. I love the campaign setting, even if I'm not huge on the mechanics. Especially Social Combat.

to:

* Diaspora - More specifically, I want to find someone to run a Star Wars skinned Diaspora game. I love the FATE system as I've mentioned and I think it'd make for really good Star Wars games.
* The Laundry - Based on TheLaundrySeries of novels. I really dig the source material and the RPG really manages to capture that feel. That is, CallOfCthulhu meets TheITCrowd meets {{Paranoia}}.
* Just more of the Warhammer40K series of RPGs. I really like all of them (DarkHeresy, RogueTrader, and Deathwatch) for different game types.

* StarWars - Played as a human Jedi called Kalor Val. He's short, but awesome. However, Kalor died for... reasons that would be {{wanky}} to get into. Syr Talaan, a Togrutan martial artist, joined the party not long after and lasted until the conclusion of the game.

* DarkHeresy - My Forge-born Tech Priest is sadly no longer being played. The game has long since died, mostly because the GM is being deployed as an advisor to Afghanistan.

* StarOcean :The Last Hope - Was playing this when my Xbox 360 red-ringed. So far, much better than the atrocity that was StarOcean 3.
* TalesOfVesperia - Halfway finished, but got sidetracked. Going to have to start over. I love TalesOf games, so that's not a big deal.
* {{Fable}} 2 - Quite enjoyable, even if it's not amazing. I admit, I like games with a more linear focus more than I do open world games.
* TheLastRemnant - I really enjoy a lot of things about the game, but the fact that it's a game where you can accidentally screw yourself over and be unable to beat it, much less finish the bonus content, puts this one a while from me playing through again.
* CastleCrashers - So much fun. So hard to find 3 other people to play it with who aren't morons or assholes.
* TheWorldEndsWithYou - Interesting and unique game, but I just never really got comfortable with the controls and thus was frequently frustrated. Sold it off to my friend.
* ChronoTrigger DS - A port of the greatest RPG ever. With the most mediocre additional content ever. I'd rather forget that ChronoCross [[DisContinuity was ever connected to]] ChronoTrigger, thank you very much.
* DragonQuest 5 DS - Old school RPG gaming at it's finest. Brilliant graphics, excellent music, decent story and gameplay.
* SuperRobotWarsOriginalGeneration - Have both the first and second GBA entry to this series. Only have begun the first one, but it's quite enjoyable.
* Left4Dead - A lot of fun, but definitely needs to be played with a good, mature group of people, not bots or random people.
* {{Batman}}: Arkham Asylum - Finally, a Batman game that makes you really feel like you're actually playing as Batman. This game is awesome.
* {{Scribblenauts}} - As a game? The controls make it a bit frustrating. As an exercise in creativity and entertainment? This is absolutely incredible.
* DragonAge - A hell of a lot of fun and one of the best {{RPG}}s in years. Not qutie as dark a fantasy game as you'd believe, but still considerably more than we usually see in {{RPG}}s.
* {{Borderlands}} - Oh boy. This game is awesome. The action of a good FPS combined with the RPG elements and loot collecting of Diablo all with a hybrid post-apocalypse and Western style. With a healthy dose of genuinely entertaining humor to boot.

* StarOcean :The Last Hope - Was Well, I'm not playing this video games like I used to. I haven't had the time, which is a shame. I still enjoy video games and play them when I can, but a lot of my Xbox 360 red-ringed. So far, much better free time is taken up my my tabletop RPG hobby. Games that I still play when I can? DragonAge, {{Borderlands}}, Magicka, PokerNightAtTheInventory, and a few others. I actually tend to watch more LetsPlay videos than the atrocity actually playing games recently. As messed up as that was StarOcean 3.is.

* TrueBlood - Okay, I've just started watching (I'm in Season 2), but damn I love this show. Not because it's great TV, but holy crap is it great to snark at while watching it with people.
