Added DiffLines:

* AdaptationDisplacement: A very localized example here with WesternAnimation/TazMania. In his youth, he played the first UsefulNotes/GameBoy game based on the show long before he knew the show even existed. He still has yet to watch an episode of the show, but he remembers having fun with the game. As far as he knew back then, it was based on Taz in general rather than a specific part of the character's history.

** Comtimuing this, some older entires reeked of elitism, and that was wrong of him. Some may persist, and if so, he will remove them upon noticing them. He just needed to learn to let people have fun.

* PeripheryDemographic: As time goes on, it's becoming rarer and rarer that he's even part of the target audience for a series. At most, he was part of the target audience when he first got into it.

* PeripheryDemographic: As time goes on, it's becoming rarer and rarer that he's even part of the target audience for a series. At most, he was part of the target audience when he first got into it. It's because a lot of the things actually made for his demographic don't appeal to him. That's not to say such works lack merit; it's just not for him, is all.

* BecameTheirOwnAntithesis: His most polite interpretation of Creator/KeijiInafune, and that's assuming he was ever what the fans thought of him as rather than always being in it only for the money, seeing as how he was against Capcom's money grabbing ways, only to employ them himself when he left. Of course, if Creator/HidekiKamiya's words have any relevance, it can't have started later than in the 2000s, and that itself is being optimistic.

* BrokenPedestal: Sega had been heading this way a while...then Cranky Food Friends happened, destroying what pedestal there was left to destroy.
** Creator/KeijiInafune managed this within far less time, yet in far worse ways; he made promises for VideoGame/MightyNo9 he couldn't keep, either being broken completely, or being so badly fufilled as to kill goodwill otherwise. VideoGame/RedAsh having a Kickstarter before Mighty No. 9's release did not help him one bit; if anything, it gave him a reputation as a con man.

** The Anime/Pokemon anime never seems to wanna end its Dork Age, especially with the writers really believing in the AnimationAgeGhetto and the FleetingDemographicRule to the point of insanity. It's far too late for it to end with even some of its dignity intact now, and it's pretty clear the Dork Age will never end, at least not without taking the anime with it.

* GatewaySeries: The Film/GuardiansOfTheGalaxy film was SoCoolItsAwesome that at one pint, he actually collected graphic novels of the comics, and was thinking of getting a subscription to them. Sadly, the subscription never came to be, and eventually, he lost interest.

* HeelFaceDoorSlam: Once VideoGame/SonicMania and the 2017 game were announced, a lot of people seem to have automatically regained faith in Sega. He can't bring himself to believe that, and is baffled that people would so easily fall for the same tricks despite this. This was after Cranky Food Friends, so he's under the belief that they'll throw away fans' trust the minute they think it's okay. In the meantime, let the fans believe that Sega means it this time when they say they're getting better; they're quite gullible anyways.
** Fans of the Anime/Pokemon anime seem similarly gullible; they seem to think the status quo will change despite years upon years worth of signs that it won't. Even when it seems like it might, everything reinforces that it won't. Even if it's at the last minute. How the fans keep hope forever remains a mystery, since they make even the past him, more idealistic and naive, look like the most cynical person on Earth on comparison.
* HypeBacklash: He's getting more and more tired of the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse as time goes on, to the point to where a friend telling him to go see Film/SpiderManHomecoming and hyping it up actually made him less eager to go see it. He feels with very little in the way of viable competition, they've gotten way too cozy in their position.
* ItsTheSameNowItSucks: Part of his growing tiredness with the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse is the feeling that the films are getting too similar to each other.
** A more downplayed example is VideoGame/Splatoon2; it's fun, and highly recommended for a portable Splatoon experience, but it feels more like an expansion pack of the original than an actual sequel, for it's a bit too similar. In terms of asthetics, it doesn't even look very different from the original.

** As noted under SuperlativeDubbing below, he loves Amitie's voice in the English dub of Puyo Pop Fever; it sure sounds corny at times, but it fits her perfectly. While he's kinda sad Evelyn Huynh didn't return to the role for Puyo Puyo Tetris dub, her successor, Creator/ChristineMarieCabanos, not only did a fine job taking the role, but actually surpassed her predecessor!
* NeverLiveItDown: Cranky Food Friends may be LostForever, but he will always use it as a case against Sega. It shouldn't have been made in the first place.

At least with those, the film's were in individual cases so you could follow the Bullshit Man's suggestion and throw out the boxes, put the films in their proper order, but unfortunately, it doesn't apply to all of them.

*** That said, a UsefulNotes/NintendoSwitch version is coming. He expects that to have all the benefits of the Vita release with none of the drawbacks, but time will tell. Game is still worth playing no matter what you have.

* TheRemake: He views Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2014 as a remake of the 1990 original, due to sharing much of the same plot with each other. Of course, he feels it's such a bad remake that anyone who's seen the 1990 film ought to just stick with it.

** Nearly everyone in WesternAnimation/TotalDrama is this. He finds the characters to be unpleasant and not very entertaining, with many of them, at best, being made up of the worst aspects of many cartoon characters without many, if any of the redeeming aspects, and at worst, shoehorning romance subplots in a show that would still have too much to juggle even without them. It's to where he doesn't give a shit about who wins or loses, or who gets together; he just wants them all to die. This contributes greatly to him wondering what people see in these characters.

* SequelGap: He's noticed that there's an odd trend of releasing sequels to films quite a few years after the originals. This wouldn't be so bad on its own, the the problem is, they pick the wrong movies to make sequels to. He certainly didn't see anyone clamoring for sequels to Film/BadSanta, the ComicBook/SinCity movie and Film/AliceInWonderland2010 several years after their release, and yet we got them anyways. There are also sequels to Film/Avatar planned, again, despite the original leaving public consiousness. In those cases, he feels the time to properly capitalize off the originals' successes had long since passed; they would have had to release them no later than three years after the originals to stand a chance, but instead, they sat on it until demand for the sequels had long since passed, leading to Box Office Bombs that surprised only the executives and (possibly) the creators. And yet they keep doing it.

** Some regard Film/TheHobbitTheDesolationOfSmaug as a better film. He, on the other hand, thinks it's a worse film due to EndingFatigue where the movie seems like it'll end, but then it doesn't. It occurred too frequently not to notice, to the point that when the credits finally did roll, he was surprised because he expected another fakeout. Fortunately, the next film fixes that problem, and is a better film for it. Though sadly, since it's necessary set-up for the third film, you can't just skip it and call it a day, or you'll be missing much needed info for the third film.
** VideoGame/KingdomHeartsChainOfMemories was most certainly this following up from the original. The card-based battle system was more intrusive than fun, for one. The story wasn't so bad, but he feels you could skip it and not miss too much, especially with recaps. The UsefulNotes/PlayStation2 version, for what it's worth, he considers the better version, but still retaining a lot of the handheld version's faults.

* WhatDoesSheSeeInHim: He's heard that WesternAnimation/TotalDrama has been losing fans due to SeasonalRot. He considers Total Drama Island (the first season) to be one of the worst cartoons out there, thanks in no small part to ugly character designs, poor animation and unlikeable characters, making him less interested in how it's losing fans and more interested in how it got those fans in the first place, seeing as how hearing about the SeasonalRot sounds less like a good show gone bad and more like something that was unwatchable to start with somehow becoming even more unwatchable. Basically, it went FromBadToWorse, which is actually impressive, all things considered.

These are inexcusable most of the time, however. More frequently than not, this tends to happen to characters who, if they were in that situation in canon, IWantMyBelovedToBeHappy would want their beloved to be happy, rather than turn into psychos. Seriously, why do that?

Added DiffLines:

* ItsTheSameNowItsSucks: Part of his growing tiredness with the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse is thr feeling that the films are getting too similar to each other.

Added DiffLines:

** A more minor case is this with the UsefulNotes/PlayStationVita version of VideoGame/ChildOfLight; it has a lower framerate than its console versions, but while he does believe the Vita could have done a better port, if you want to play the game on the go, you're still gonna have an amazing time with this version.
** The UsefulNotes/PlayStation2 version of VideoGame/SonicHeroes is also this, though people exaggerate the extent; it's mainly lower framerate and lower quality graphics, but it's still very playable and the game is intact. That said, unlike Child of Light above, it doesn't have the advantage of being playable on the go, so if you have even one of those consoles, it might still be best to get the UsefulNotes/NintendoGamecube or UsefulNotes/Xbox version instead.

Added DiffLines:

* TheRemake: He views Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtles2014 as a remake of the 1990 original, due to sharing much of the same plot with each other. Of course, he feels it's such a bad remake that anyone who's seen the 1990 film ought to just stick with it.

Added DiffLines:

* CreatorsPet: Despite (or maybe even because of) his constant losses, he feels Ash Ketchum from the Anime/Pokemon anime has become this, simply for sticking around as the main character long after his time should have been up.
