I currently hold an MA in English literature and a minor in linguistics. I study Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, and Spanish, and I can generally make myself understood in all three. I continue to work on and off as a martial arts instructor in addition to juggling various odd jobs.
Right now, I'm back in school pursuing a BS in computational linguistics. I'm also taking courses in Chinese again in addition to taking up German.
I enjoy reading and writing and I'm currently working on a novel that I can hopefully get published after a thorough editing process with colleagues who have volunteered to assist me. Toni Morrison, Homer, William Blake, Frederick Douglas, and Miyamoto Musashi are among my favorite writers.
As mentioned before, I enjoy studying martial arts, combat sports, and fighting systems. Physical fitness in general is very important to me, so I make it a point to carefully study weight lifting, bodybuilding, powerlifting, flexibility, parkour/plyometrics and cardivascular endurance.
I formerly attended tracking and wilderness survival courses, and I hold an intermediate rank in urban tracking. I believe in a no-nonsense, demystified approach to tracking and martial arts. My recent attendance in tracking courses has been sparse due to unfavorable changes in the community, but I still train by myself and with a few close friends who share my love of the craft.
