Not Triva

* AdaptedOut: Paulson's staff, as it appears in the film, consists entirely of his personal assistant, Christal West, and his four top aides, Michelle Davis, Dan Jester, Neel Kashkari, and Jim Wilkinson. Naturally several other persons in Treasury and the Federal Reserve played a part in the events depicted in the film, but were adapted out for the sake of compression. For instance:
** Dick Fuld's late-night conversation was with a different Treasury official than Kashkari;
** Likewise, Goldman Sachs' approach to Warren Buffett was not made by CEO Lloyd Blankfein, but instead by a vice-chairman named Byron Trott, who had a reputation for being the only investment banker in America (with the possible exception of Paulson) who Buffett liked and trusted.

* BillingDisplacement: Due to alphabetical billing, Creator/EdwardAsner gets second billing despite only having two scenes, plus being heard over the phone in another.
* HilariousInHindsight: After the film was released, AyadAkhtar, who plays Neel Kashkari, one of the men who delivers the LectureAsExposition about the financial crisis, later wrote ''Junk: The Golden Age of Debt'', a stage play about the period in the 1980s when debt was first "repackaged" as an asset, one of the root causes of the crisis of 2008.
