* BreakthroughHit: ''Malice''. While they had become something of a name with ''Bloodlust'' and were one of the figureheads of [=MySpace=] deathcore, they were still consistently at the bottom of bills up until the end of its touring cycle. ''Malice'', on the other hand, catapulted them into the public eye, got great reviews, won them a bunch of new fans, and wound up being one of the biggest albums of the [=MySpace=] era.
* DevelopmentHell: ''Disomus'' took roughly half a decade to make. The band stopped touring in 2011, and while they likely started working on new material around the end of that year or the beginning of 2012 (and had announced that they had something new coming in mid-2012), it ultimately failed to materialize, and aside from intermittent reassurances that they were still a thing and a few scattered shows, they were mostly dormant for the next four years. It wasn't until early 2017 that they finally made it into the studio, recorded the album, and started touring again (albeit on a very limited basis due to family and day job commitments).
* WriteWhatYouKnow: Danny Rodriguez works as a Chicago police officer, and "Till Solace, She'll Haunt" was a retelling of the time that he went into an elderly woman's residence for a wellness check and found her severely decomposed body in the middle of the floor.
