* DisownedAdaptation: According to an interview with Creator/DannyWells, Creator/{{Nintendo}} was reluctant to do the ''Super Show'' from the start and had to be cajoled by Creator/DiCEntertainment to make it work. Nintendo finally agreed to license the series but wanted no more after production after its lone season ended; [=DiC=] ultimately [[LoopholeAbuse circumvented this]] by instead theming the [[WesternAnimation/TheAdventuresofSuperMarioBros3 next]] [[WesternAnimation/SuperMarioWorld1991 two]] seasons around ''VideoGame/SuperMarioBros3'' and ''VideoGame/SuperMarioWorld''. This may also explain why there were no WesternAnimation adaptations of ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'' between 1991 and the [[WesternAnimation/TheSuperMarioBrosMovie 2023 animated movie]] (the Saturday morning show ''Captain N and the New Super Mario World'' lasted a couple of years longer, regardless). It also explains why it [[NoExportForYou wasn't released in Japan]].
