** The ''Red'' series was orphaned as well after allegations of various forms of bigotry were brought against the mod developer Captain Tom in January of 2024, causing him to leave the community. Thankfully the rest of the development team has expressed a desire to, at the very least, finish any mods in the series that were in active development at the time of Tom's departure.

* OrphanedSeries: The ''Midnight'' mod series that focused on a Goldwater presidency ultimately leading to [[spoiler:a right-wing takeover of America led by Neo-Nazi George Lincoln Rockwell]], which started with the widely-praised 1964 Midnight and continued with 1965 Midnight, was cancelled in late 2023 as a result of burnout and ArtistDisillusionment hitting the mod developer u/Gardfeld.

** As of mid-2021 it is back in DevelopmentHell, but an active modding community has sprung up to add new scenarios and flesh out old ones with new candidates.

* KeepCirculatingTheTapes: The original 1964 mod has been taken off of the New Campaign Trail site due to background drama involving the mod's creator. Unlike the rest of his mods, it was not added to the Campaign Trail Showcase website after its creation, meaning the only way to play it is to locate the mod's code manually.

** As of mid-2021 it is back in DevelopmentHell, but an active modding community has sprung up to add new scenarios and flesh out old ones with new candidates.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: All the ahistorical endings, and even different decisions made along the way to historic endings (e.g Truman not carrying out the Berlin airlift yet still winning re-election), are essentially this.
