* IKnewIt:
** A lot of fans who noticed the Alchemax FreezeFrameBonus were able to accurately predict that [[spoiler:Spider-Man 2099 would have a cameo in the film]].
** The [[https://www.thisisinsider.com/spider-verse-miles-breaking-glass-theory-2019-2 director confirmed]] that Miles breaks the skyscraper's window when he takes his "Leap of Faith" because he's scared and still sticking.

* OrphanedReference: A very minor one. In the deleted scenes of the fight in Aunt May's house, Sp//dr was too tall for the ceiling, causing the mech to break the ceiling and have a toilet from the floor above fall onto its head. Later on in the fight scene, Spider-Ham would use said toilet against Tombstone. In the final cut of the movie, Ham suddenly just has a toilet bowl to use with no explanation as to how it got into the living room.

** The same goes in the Japanese dub, as [[spoiler:Creator/TetsuInada replaces Creator/HideyukiTanaka as the 1967 Spidey]], despite the later is still alive and active as a voice actor

** One scene has Scorpion dismiss Spider-Ham as "just a cartoon," who replies [[TranquilFury "You got a problem with cartoons?"]] before delivering a NoHoldsBarredBeatdown. This is almost certainly a commentary on the AnimationAgeGhetto and how mant critics were skeptical about an animated ''Spider-Man'' movie before its release.

* AndYouThoughtitwouldFail: Prior to release, there was little overall enthusiasm for the film, as many dismissed it as another desperate attempt by Sony to create their own competing Spider-Man cinematic universe after their plans with The Amazing Spider-Man Franchise failed; an effort that was increasingly seen as unnecessary after Sony and Disney successfully found a way to bring Spider-Man into the MCU. Not helping matters was the less-than-stellar track record of Sony Pictures Animation, which, outside of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs, had mostly failed to impress audiences and severely soured their reputation the previous year with the Emoji Movie. Some Comicbook fans even found it hard to be excited as they feared that this film's existence could detour any live-action appearances of Miles Morales. To say that these concerns were proven wrong would be a massive understatement. IntotheSpiderVerse was a massive box office and critical success with audiences and critics as many heralded it as one of the greatest Spider-Man, Comicbook and animated films ever made. It instantly legitimatized the credibility of Sony Pictures Animation and its success would have a massive impact on the animation industry not seen since the days of Toy Story, as it inspired many animators to innovate beyond the realistic art styles of PIXAR and produce films with more stylized art styles such as PussinBoots: The Last Wish.

* FollowTheLeader: The movie's success has started a trend of PaintedCGI action-comedy animated movies in the early 20s, such as ''WesternAnimation/TheMitchellsVsTheMachines'', ''WesternAnimation/TheBadGuys2022'', ''WesternAnimation/PussInBootsTheLastWish'', ''WesternAnimation/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesMutantMayhem'', and ''WesternAnimation/Wish2023'', most of which have explicitly cited this film's art style for their inspiration.
