* The idea for the plot was developed over one weekend according to the WordOfGod.
* Between the game files, a text file of chatter and inside jokes left by some diary-writing game designer can be found, giving a bit of a backstage view on the game's development and on the team. It is in German. Considering the studio's fate, it counts as an ApocalypticLog.
* Characters that are based on historical figures had their names changed in the last moment due to some law restrictions. In the game files these characters are still named Babbage, Lovelace, Schliemann, Livingstone, [[CharlesDarwin Darwin]] and [[NikolaTesla Tesla]]. The Headshot abilities of Heinrich Schliemann and Ada Loven have even "Kleeman" and "Lovelace" in brackets by their names.
* The Three Traders are visibly modelled after Creator/DannyDeVito.
* Anthony Cole appears to be heavily inspired by Creator/BrendanFraser's Rick O'Connell from TheMummy1999. What is more, at the time of game's development, the film The Journey To The Center of Earth starring Fraser as a geologist, who, accompanied by a Scandinavian blonde, travels to a ridiculous Lost World filled with prehistoric creatures and tries to find his way home... was also in development and loudly announced for years!
* Stina Holmlund shares her initials and the profession with the animal expert Sarah Harding from Film/TheLostWorldJurassicPark.
* After the game developer had been closed, a few dedicated team members [[PassingTheTorch passed]] the unfinished expansion pack to the fans for free. It contains two missions from the perspective of the villains and unlocks SEAS as the fourth playable faction.
* In case anyone wondered WhatHappenedToTheMouse: the rights to the title are hidden and forgotten somewhere in Ubisoft's equivalent of the Storage Room from RaidersOfTheLostArk.
* The game's soundtrack was the first one from Germany to ever win the Game Audio Network Guild award. Sadly it is extremely underrated, having first gathered 9/10 and 10/10 reviews all over the internet, and then fading into extreme obscurity due to the failure of it's game.
* One cutscene appears to be missing in most if not all the versions of the game. The game in general is not buggy, but appears to have had it's development extremely rushed at the end and has a lot of unpolished content.
