I would argue this doesn't count. Agupon was part of idol groups as far as 2015 goes, Akarin was getting multiple roles before this between Blend S and Wataten, and Maria was a participant in a reality show alongside having theater chops and Wataten too. Mayu was part of Prima Porta and other groups too - arguably the only absolute newcomers at the time of their reveal in 2017 was Nacchan, who was only a radio personality. Everyone else had game, idol, modeling or acting roles, or got them in the 2017-2019 period between announcement-release.

* AmateurCast: Like Aqours, Nijigasaki's cast features actresses with little or no prior notable acting or singing roles, with the only real major exceptions being Creator/TomoriKusunoki, who at the time had a StarMakingRole in ''Anime/SwordArtOnlineAlternativeGunGaleOnline'', and Miyu Kubota, who is a member of the real life idol group i☆Ris.
