And his mouthy, socially ostracized friend is called [[Film/TransformersFilmSeries Sam]], who believes in [[Film/TransformersFilmSeries ancient astronauts]]. Number Four even ends the movie narrating that [[Film/TransformersFilmSeries Earth is his home]] now, [[strike: and though they are worlds apart, there's more to them than meets the eye]] so he has to protect it.
* StillbornFranchise: Not the novels, but the film series that was intended to be released alongside the novels was shelved indefinitely due to lukewarm reception and mediocre box office profits.

** DiannaAgron continued dying hers blond. TeresaPalmer literally ends up as the only actor without died hair. TheStinger? She's blond and her character had black hair in the book.
** In the book, Sam's hair is also dark blond, as Callan [=McAuliffe=]'s is, so he didn't need to dye it, the inverse of TeresaPalmer.
