* KillerApp: ''Final Fantasy X'' was one of the biggest system sellers for the UsefulNotes/PlayStation2, selling a total of 8.5 million units, and being the highest-selling game on the console that wasn't part of ''VideoGame/GrandTheftAuto'' or ''VideoGame/GranTurismo''. And as a result of the [=PS2=] being the highest-selling console of all time, many people were introduced to the series through ''X'', thus making it the equivalent of ''VideoGame/FinalFantasyVII'' for its own console generation.

** It's not, though. The entire reason it's even quoted in the first place is because of what the original text says.

He plays O'aka, Maester Mika, and Maechen, all of whom sport very different vocal tones, accents, and speech cadences. And it's mind-boggling to know they're all voiced by one guy.

* UnintentionalPeriodPiece: This game can feel very early 2000s at times. For one, the characters' fashion sense, from Tidus' surfer-chic looks to his baggy shorts and pop-punk wallet chains, and so is the party, all of which sporting chains, pockets and buckles as well.

** The underrated voice actor Creator/DwightSchultz pulls double-duty as Maechen and Grand Maester Mika.

** Tidus was originally supposed to be revealed as an unsent. However, Nomura saw [[Film/TheSixthSense a movie with a similar premise]], and decided to swap Tidus' reveal with [[spoiler:Auron]].
