Natter.

* OutOfOrder: This episode is ninth in production order, but was moved up to fifth to air, as Disney XD found this episode Halloween-appropriate, presumably because of the monstrous impression of the Terra-firmians. This is despite the fact that "The Living Mummies of Thoth-Ra!" (scheduled for October 28) was already planned to fit that theme, and since this was the 9th episode would have followed three days after Halloween (on a Tuesday in 2017) anyway. Similarly, "The Impossible Summit of Mount Neverrest!", which would have aired earlier, was held until December for its presence of snow, making it more Christmas-appropriate. This had the unfortunate effect of putting two Lena/Magica appearances in quick succession, raising false hopes for just how much focus they'd be getting.

not trivia

* ActorAllusion:
** Huey's criticism of the horror movie shower scene on the grounds of how unrealistic it is, because the monster would gain no traction in the wet shower, calls to mind [[Series/{{Community}} Abed's]] [[Recap/CommunityS3E05HorrorFictionInSevenSpookySteps breakdown of horror tropes and attempt to construct a purely logical horror story]].
** More of a Production Team Allusion, but Huey's reliance on the Guidebook and his additional annotations as he learns more about the world are strongly reminiscent of [[WesternAnimation/GravityFalls Dipper Pines]] -- even if Huey is AgentScully instead of AgentMulder.

* OutOfOrder: This episode is ninth in production order, but was moved up to fifth to air, presumably because of the monstrous impression of the Terra-firmians. Like the Huey episode that was held until December for its presence of snow, Disney XD probably figured that made this episode Halloween-appropriate, even if "The Living Mummies of Thoth-Ra!" (scheduled for October 28) was already planned to fit that theme, and since this was the 9th episode would have followed three days after Halloween (on a Tuesday in 2017) anyway.
