While the band spent years on the back burner while the members tended to their personal lives, they were always quietly tinkering away with new material and letting it simmer. It wasn't until 2017 that Anthony Barone entered the picture and the band started to pick up the pace with working on the album, but even then, it was ''not'' a difficult or conflict-ridden creative process, just a very deliberate one due to the fact that they didn't have a label breathing down their back about deadlines.
