* [[IllGirl Yuzuha]]'s situation, in general, pulls on the heartstrings but in the game, her desire to have Hakuowlo's child as proof that she existed, and the revelation in the game's epilogue that sometime after Hakuowlo is sealed away she did in fact have the child but that she either died giving birth or very shortly after giving birth is just beyond sad.

** What follows is probably the second saddest moment in the series. Kurou reports that [[DoomedHometown not a single villager from Yamayura survived the massacre]]. Aruruu tries desperately to wake Teoro's body, but when Hakuowlo tells her he'll never wake up again, she cries so hysterically that she needs to be sedated by Eruruu and heartbroken by the report after she sedates Aruruu she sedates herself.

* Ulthury's breakdown after having to give Fumirul back to her birth parents. While she remains formal and seemingly accepting of the situation at the moment, Hakuowlo hugs her afterwards and tells her to let it all out. She immediately starts sobbing and allows her honest feelings to flow freely.

*** Made even worse when FridgeHorror kicks in because Aruruu starts calling for Tuskur as the trauma of feeling responsible for her death surfaces anew.

** Eruruu's ShutUpHannibal speech against Orikakan where she unleashes all of her grief in a very OOCIsSeriousBusiness manner, ending with this heartbreaking line from the top of her lungs:

* The last episode of ''{{Utawarerumono}}'': This troper has a weakness for Aruruu, and so was already crying at [[spoiler: "But... Daddy won't be here!"]] It got even worse when [[spoiler: Eruruu, smiling, tells Hakuoro that they'll be okay without him... before breaking down in tears and telling him she loves him.]]
** Ironically, the game is far less cruel. It's still bittersweet, but leans heavily towards sweet as opposed to bitter.
