* [[IllGirl Yuzuha]]'s situation, in general, pulls on the heartstrings but in the game, her desire to have Hakuowlo's child as proof that she existed, and the revelation in the game's epilogue that sometime after Hakuowlo is sealed away she did in fact have the child but that she either died giving birth or very shortly after giving birth is just beyond sad.

Aruruu tries desperately to wake Teoro's body, but when Hakuowlo tells her he'll never wake up again, she cries so hysterically that she needs to be sedated by Eruruu and heartbroken by the report after she sedates Aruruu she sedates herself.

Orikakan started a war with Tuskur believing that Hakuowlo was Rakshain when it was most likely that Rakshain was long dead. As a result of the war, many innocent lives were killed including the aforementioned [[DoomedHometown Yamayura Village]], Kucca Kecca was all but destroyed making it annexed into Tuskur in the aftermath, and the masterminds behind the war Niwe and Dii [[KarmaHoudini got away with it]] when [[HeelFaceDoorSlam Orikakan was assassinated before trying to change things]].

** To top it all off [[RevengeBeforeReason it]] [[UnwittingPawn was]] [[AllForNothing pointless]]. Orikakan started a war with Tuskur believing that Hakuowlo was Rakshain when it was most likely that Rakshain was long dead. As a result of the war, many innocent lives were killed and Kucca Kecca was all but destroyed making it annexed into Tuskur in the aftermath, and the masterminds behind the war (Niwe and Dii) [[KarmaHoudini got away with it]].

** This also makes their goodbyes after the rise of the Empire of Tuskur [[HarsherInHindsight even sadder]] since that is the last time they would see them alive. The gift that Sopoku gave Eruruu? It became a TragicKeepsake.

* [[CoolOldLady Tusker]]'s death. She protects Aruruu from a rowdy soldier that Nuwangi brought and unfortunately, she dies from the wounds. Hakuowlo even laments from that point NothingIsTheSameAnymore and that [[PointOfNoReturn there is no turning back]].

** This also makes their goodbyes after the rise of the Empire of Tuskur [[HarsherInHindsight even sadder]] since that is the last time they would see them alive.

[[spoiler:Except, as everyone leaves, we see that he is bleeding heavily and as he slumps down from exhaustion, he is visited by the spirit of his deceased wife and all their neighbors, showing that the situation was a whole lot worse than he made it sound. He leaves with them satisfied that with his last bits of strength he was able to warn Hakuowlo.]]

Daddy won't be here!"]] It got even worse when [[spoiler: Eruruu, smiling, tells Hakuoro that they'll be okay without him... before breaking down in tears and telling him she loves him.]]
** Ironically, the game is far less cruel. It's still bittersweet, but leans heavily towards sweet as opposed to bitter.
