** Redd Rockridge, a GentleGiant who the game implies has [[HoYay feelings toward Grayson Greyson that go beyond friendship,]] but the game doesn't make it clear whether Grayson feels the same way toward him. [[spoiler:When Grayson triggers his own slow, KarmicDeath, Redd does everything he can and more to save him, up to grabbing onto the electrified bars to wrench the door open, which is ultimately what kills him. Which leaves Grayson alone to call out to him and apologize in vain, knowing that this is all his fault. Then the swords fall and not only impale him, but also crush and shatter the priceless egg that led to his and Redd's death in the first place. What's really tragic is that Redd really ''is'' strong enough to force the door open and pry the manacles off of Grayson's wrists, and the switch he was pulling really ''would have'' shut the electricity off if the Staff hadn't disconnected it ahead of time.]]

[[spoiler:She sneaks into the butterfly garden only because she was conspicuously denied access to it. From there, her friend Tequila's bloody corpse falls into the room, and in her panic, loses her cane and can't find her way back out. She cries out to her husband for help, not realizing that he's a mere two rooms away, completely lost in all his old vices again. She's completely helpless as a GiantSpider leaps on her, bites her, and then starts webbing her up while she's ''still alive'', slowly dying from the venom. Shortly afterwards, Clay is served a glass of the spider's venom, which putrifies his mouth and the surrounding flesh before killing him.]]
