The show stars Toshiaki Karasawa, Tae Kimura, Yukie Nakama, Chiaki Kuriyama and Hiroaki Murakami.

!!This show contains examples of the following tropes:

* AdaptedOut:
** While Asakura has a staff member involved in her campaign, almost all of them are in the Tokyo Superial Hotel. Instead, a Japanese man named Tsunehiko Minagawa, who's based in New York, was asked to return to Tokyo to cover the elections.
* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Asakura running in the elections for prime minister is similar in previous Liberal Democractic Party elections in the past when analysts had suggested politicians like Yuriko Koike could one day make a bid to run for prime minister.
* GovernmentAgencyOfFiction: The Japanese version of CTU is implied to be under the direction of the Cabinet Intelligence Reserch Office (CIRO) or Naicho.
* MythologyGag:
** Nanami Hikawa exfiltrates from New Brave Airlines (NBA) Flight 355 similarly to how Mandy leaves.
* ProductPlacement: Various vehicles seen in the show have their decals/logos covered up.
* ShownTheirWork: An air traffic controller is shown radiong NBA Flight 355 that crashed in English, which is the international language set as standard by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
