* The Creator/MarvelUniverse has many powerful artifacts, but few, if any surpass the Infinity Gems. Sometimes known as the Infinity Stones, they predate the universe and have been reported as either remains of a god that destroyed themselves out of loneliness, or six singularities present at the Big Bang. They embody six aspects of the universe and at full potential, allow one absolute control of that aspect of reality. To what extent depends on the continuity, but in ''ComicBook/TheInfinityGauntlet'', we see what happens when Thanos has all six in a specific gauntlet to wield their power, in order to impress Lady Death...omnipotence, barring a couple restrictions. Even [[CosmicEntity cosmic entities]] can be towed with it He only lost from a subconscious belief he didn't deserve that power. No-one has held onto that power permanently, and as it makes one a step or two below {{God}} this is probably a good thing.
* It is important to remember that Infinity Gems can only work in the universe they come from. Trying to use it in other universes is akin to trying to use your TV remote on somebody else's. The Infinity Gauntlet in the Trope Pantheon specifically works on the CrossoverAlternateUniverse which all the different gods interact, and only that reality. As such, while the Infinity Gauntlet is still ''immensely'' desirable, it cannot be used by any deity to take complete control of their own ''verse''. [[Pantheon/{{Leadership}} Darkseid]] has denoted the Infinity Gauntlet as useless for him [[ComicBook/JLAVsAvengers when he got his hand on it]], a fact that is undoubtedly a relief. As bad as Thanos was having the Infinity Gauntlet the man had insecurities and personal issues that made it possible he would lose control. Darkseid...doesn't, and he is not the kind of person [[VictoryIsBoring who would grow bored with victory]]. Attempt to modify the Gauntlet to work outside the Pantheon will incur the wrath of [[Pantheon/{{Wardening}} the Living Tribunal]].
** Darkseid being unimpressed by the Infinity Gauntlet has been furthered when [[WebAnimation/DeathBattle Thanos used it in a fight against him]], where while he could snap his avatar away when serious, his true form could just summon a new one. So Thanos decided to confront his true form...[[spoiler:and that was a really horrible move, as the Infinity Gauntlet was out of range in Darkseid's universe. While there are a number of variations of the Infinity Gauntlet and Gems, the Pantheon's Infinity Gauntlet [[TruerToTheText is an almost carbon copy of the 616 version]]. As such it lacks [[Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse needing a level of strength to not die wielding it]], making it all the more attractive a target. The six Infinity Gems are watched over certain Overdeities
** The Time Gem; currently being watched over by [[Pantheon/TimeTravelling Chronoa]]. Grants the user unlimited control of time. Whoever holds it can make the House of Pantheon/TimeAndTemporality whatever they want it to be. That said, it is unknown how the Time Gem alone would face off against Lord English on an equal playing field
** The Soul Gem; currently being watched over by TBA. Allows manipulation of any and all souls, be it dead or alive. One can use it to lord power over both the House of Pantheon/LifeAndVitality and the House of Pantheon/DeathAndPostmortem. They'd have the power to ''shut down'' the pantheon's DeathIsCheap rule, an idea that Dhuum is salivating over...though the same gem could set it back up again.

Strictly speaking, without the Gems/Stones the Gauntlet is just a normal gauntlet, albeit one that can withstand overwhelming power (or as [[Pantheon/{{Leadership}} Palpatine]] puts it, '''[[EvilIsHammy "UNLIMITED!!!]] [[Memes/RevengeOfTheSith POWER!!!"]]'''. He makes it no secret he wants the Infinity Gauntlet and has been observing other variations. There is uncertainty as to what happened to that Thanos during that time. The usability of the Infinity Gems by themselves depends on one's power level. Greater Gods and Overdeities have no problem with it. Intermediate Gods could use one Gem but are likely to be exhausted after that. Lesser God and below, there's practically no point in using a Gem. This was best demonstrated when they were used by, in a particular merging of worlds, X, to eliminate Ultron Sigma. Despite being a Greater God, he struggled using the Infinity Buster (created by Iron Man and powered by the Infinity Gems) requiring the assistance of everyone present (including other Greater Gods, such as Thor, Doctor Strange and Zero) to stabilize the energy, even after donning the Ultimate Armor.]] Another version was offered as a prize for [[WebVideo/AtopTheFourthWall the winner of the 1047th Interdimensional Contest of Champions]]. A member of the SS, he was known as "the Jew Hunter" for his ability to hunt and find Jews, stating this is because he doesn't simply hate them and can think like them. He was an important figure in helping the Nazis fight the Basterds and could easily detect a liar, however he's hardly a zealot of their ideology and at his core he's an opportunist. When the winds turned against him he would collaborate with their plan to assassinate the Nazi high command, under the conditions that [[WrittenByTheWinners he would be whitewashed in the history books and his own crimes ignored]], with him retiring to Nantucket Island. [[AlternateHistory The assassination worked]], and Hans would go on to solve a series of murders as an amateur master detective. Of course, Lt. Aldo Raine refused to let him get away scot-free, [[LoopholeAbuse and while he couldn't kill him there was another method of inflicting karma]]. [[MarkOfShame Something he couldn't take off]]...so a swatiska was carved in his forehead, branding him as a Nazi. He will constantly be afraid of what people will say about or do to him in response.

Hans Landa was reluctant to agree with this, but ultimately did so as his reputation precedes him, or in other words he already had so many angry eyes on him that siding with the Nazis again would increase his allies list.

Though he makes no secret [[TheStarscream he sought to become Fuhrer]], he's usually written as a genuine believer so he doesn't respect Hans' "flip-flopping". And Adolf Hitler was not just his personal idol, but arguably [[ParentalSubstitute a second father]]. However he cannot help but respect Hans' cunning and effectiveness, citing that if he held genuine conviction and loyalty in the cause [[VillainousFriendship they would be close friends]]. Landa respects the Skull's determination and own cunning, however [[EvenEvilHasStandards he is not a fan of]] his BadBoss tendencies. Amoral he may be, [[AFatherToHisMen Col Landa has affection for his adjutant]] and was outraged to see the Basterds shoot him. The Skull gave him a positive review to HYDRA, admitting he'll fit their organization as a detective and intelligent agent like a glove. Since HYDRA is more broadly authoritarian than its Nazi roots, they are a lot more accepting of him.

Franz Vahlen has his own ambitions independent of Rommel and Hitler, and he plans to become Fuhrer himself. As a general he can give aid to Hans in areas he's lacking. General Heinz Bohm is a cunning [[TheMole mole]] who met with the two over some strudel, pointing out he is well-aware the pantheon's Nazi elite has their own internal power plays and schemes for and against one another, so the fact they're able to be friendly with one another will likely be a boon. They've met privately to discuss assassination plans on some of their own allies in case they prove to be a "liability", the details of which are a tight-knit secret but nothing out of the ordinary for the Nazis more skeptical of Hans. For now, at worst Hans Landa is a ReliableTraitor.
* On the other side of the proverbial coin, there are those that Hans Landa is quite critical of. He is flabbergasted that Millennium is still given the go ahead by the more traditional Nazis, pointing out they're insane. [[HypocrisyNod Yes he's aware he's not exactly a loyalist to the cause]], but he's not wrong feeling Mr "[[AxCrazy I like]] [[BloodKnight war]]" might be more trouble than they're worth. Adjacent to the cause, there's Sergey Taboritsky and the Aryan Brotherhood, who he's glad aren't proper associates due to how off their gourd they are. He's surprised the OTL Sergey was allowed to be part of the Nazi party, citing [[BoomerangBigot he's a Russian monarchist with a Jewish mother]]. Pointing this out only caused the Blessed Regent to go on a rant of "[[MadnessMantra I AM NOT A JEW I AM NOT CAIN!!]]" On a lighter note, he's bothered by the attention that Cartman has given him. Cartman thinks he's "super kewl" and wants to be involved, albeit with some cognitive dissonance to ignore the fact he helped with Hitler's assassination in his timeline. Col Landa accurately finds him an annoying little brat and doesn't want his attention
