# Recap.DiaryOfAnAnalog: [=MagnaAngemon=] rarely backs down from an opponent out of fear, at least nowadays he doesn't. Chapter 3 and 4, on the other hand, showcases [=MagnaAngemon=] doing just that, but at the very least overcoming it quick enough to deal with the situation. The Analogs display severe cases of extreme cowardice if forced into a confrontation with Lady Sigma, as they practically scream bloody murder as Lady Sigma mows them down like they were nothing. Lady Sigma is the one Digimon they fear alone above all others, when normally they're a bit notorious as Fearless Fools every other time...

The fact that Tony Stark isn't ogling the hell out of the naked women is a sign that he's taking the situation much more seriously than he normally takes any situation.
# Recap.TheFairlyOddParentsS5E4JustDesserts: A running gag in the episode is that Cosmo tries in vain to take up the mantle of being the voice of reason on the consequences of the all-dessert wish while Wanda is recklessly encouraging it. He even lampshades it every time it happens. Cosmo: I'm not usually the skeptical one, and I don't even know what "skeptical" means, but when Wanda eats a lot of sugar, she tends to... Wanda: What Cosmo doesn't know is nobody gives a hoot about his opinion!

Every previous defeat All For One has had, he handled with his typical calm and grace, always knowing he had a way out since it was part of the plan. This time? It's not part of the plan. TomurAFO is completely caught off-guard, and flies into a panic, desperately searching for someone to off-load his dangerous new Quirk onto and baying for Star's blood. Star did what no hero, not even All Might himself, ever did — she angered All For One. Damn you, specter of All Might!
# Awesome.MovingPicturesDiscworld: You belong dead. Not only a cool Shout-Out, but Death always does his job compassionately with people and animals, repeatedly shows that he cares a great deal about them, and when questioned about the justice of his job says There's no justice, There's just me. As such, it's a major OOCIsSeriousBusiness sign that he detests the life-consuming Things so much that he thinks they deserve to die. That moment also confirms that Victor has indeed won properly; he hasn't merely banished the Thing, or destroyed a physical form that it can regrow over time, he's actually killed it properly.
# Recap.StarTrekLowerDecksS3E05Reflections: With a title called "Reflections", this is played for both laughs and drama.The threat of being reassigned to Starbase 80 is enough to cow Mariner, and she (mostly) behaves the entire episode. She's also the one recruiting people, which shocks Ransom when he shows up at the end. Boimler, usually the straight-laced and careful of the group, goes on a rampage when pushed too far, also shocking Ransom. Tendi, T'Ana, and Shaxs are all worried when Rutherford suddenly starts acting weird and Rutherford's change in personality is played deathly seriously.
# Recap.BatmanTheAnimatedSeriesE51TheManWhoKilledBatman: The apparent death of Batman noticeably changes some demeanors of his adversaries, namely Bullock and the Joker.Bullock is noticeably shocked and sadden by the news, despite the fact he had hated Batman for being a vigilante and would be the first one to lead his arrest the moment Batman becomes public enemy number one. The Joker is so depressed by Batman's absence (which apparently confirms his demise) that he abandons the heist and even orders Harley to put the jewels back in the store. This incident apparently spread across the Gotham underworld as another example of Sid's "fearsome reputation," being the man who made a fool out of the Joker.
# Fanfic.ThoseWithRuinousEnvy: Felix realizes that something is seriously bothering Sylvain when he sees him not even react to two women waving at him on their way to investigate the attack on House Gautier.
# Fanfic.RemnantInvicta: Salem has all the time in the world to destroy humanity, and the only reason people have survived this long at all is because she prefers to apply steady pressure to break humanity's defenses down over time, not taking many aggressive risks that her forces would need time to replenish from. The fact that she pushes her forces on Atlas ahead of schedule and does everything she can to hunt down the evacuees (rather than her normal strategy of letting a refugee crisis weaken the remaining populations) tips the soldiers off that Salem is panicking about something. They're right — Atlas was in the middle of working on something that, if completed, could change the course of the war.

In Azada, when his father gives him Simon's book, Lexi is shocked that his father didn't give it life yet.

Despite this, he ends up dealing the finishing blow to its undead form. That he asks for alcohol when he never drinks it in episode 26 shows just how upset he was about becoming a Broken Pedestal to his crush.

# Pantheon.{{Armies}}: The former leader of the Raiders had little recollection of what happened after Angel was freed/killed, but Tina filled him in. He was shocked to hear he was dead and that he was just a statue of himself brought to life. He pondered returning to the pedestal and removing the Talisman, but stopped after seeing Tina with tears in her forlorn eyes. She then said Handsome Jack was still “alive” in the Pantheon and that the Raiders needed him. Roland agreed and left with her. Upon his arrival, the rest of the Raiders (especially Lilith) were stunned speechless to see him back. The reunion was awkward, to put it mildly, as Tina was heavily scolded for doing something so reckless just to have Roland back. The “statue” stood up for her and promised that once Jack would be finally dead for good, he would then return to his own sleep. The rest of the Raiders agreed and welcomed their leader back.
# Characters.DesperadosIII: Given his love for money and all sorts of financial arrangements, he utterly disregards the fact he’s in a gold mine at the beginning of Chapter 3, instead opting to plot their escape with implacable determination. Even Isabelle – who’s a reformed former mercenary – remarks that she “should’ve packed a few [gold] nuggets” in her voicelines.
# NightmareFuel.HenryStickminSeries: In the Pure Blooded Thief route, one of the options is a Dark Energy Bomb, which destroys everything, including the Center for Chaos Containment that was in the area. Not only Henry is disintegrated along with soldiers and the Toppat clan, but considering that Galeforce, Charles, Reginald, and Right Hand Man were on the battlefield, the implication of those four being caught in the blast sounds terrifying. Even the FAIL screen has nothing to say about this.
# YMMV.NintendoWars: Courtesy of Veronica Taylor, Andy in Re-Boot Camp sounds exactly like Ash from Pokémon: The Series. This fits his character better than it has any right to, and she gives such a genuine performance that many find him far more likable than he was originally, as he now comes across as lovably dumb rather than just plain stupid. The mission Toy Box has one of the most hilariously designed maps, as it looks like a missmatch created by a randomizer, and Lash's antics can be really hilarious. But none of that distract us for how utterly heartbroken Olaf feels at watching his hometown destroyed and his family and friends probably killed or displaced from the wrecked town and even Lash's careless attitude can just hammer how horribly twisted the Black Hole army really is. Even Grit at the end of the mission avoids making any snarky comment about it like he usually does, cementing it as one of the most dramatic moments of the entire game.

# Recap.SoulEaterAFightToTheDeathAtTheAnniversaryCelebrationArc: Maka is a perfect model student and yet she disobeys steins orders to fight Crona instead of Black Star to get revenge. Black Star even comments on this Spirit is normally a skirt chasing Bumbling Dad, but his reaction to Medusa's abuse to Crona is the only time we see him get angry. this is especially notable as he originally thought Medusa was very attractive at first to the point of barely being able to control himself around her. This shows he takes being a father VERY seriously Crona is usually very submissive and nervous but when Maka claims her soul is stronger than his, he gets noticibly angry and starts fighting more seriously than the last time they and Maka fought in italy. Lord death is usually a silly goofball character, but when Asura gets out, the gloves come off quickly, even his voice sounds more dangerous.

# Characters.EndersGame: Twice, Graff knew that Valentine would give Ender the spirit he needed to complete his tasks at military school and as a commander. At the end of the book, Valentine comes of her own volition to revive Ender of his Heroic BSoD and convince him to become a governor on the Formics Colony and spend the remains of their childhood together. Ender considers it. Then he agrees. But then he says he's not doing it for her, but to atone to the buggers for his mistake.
# Characters.{{Broodhollow}}: This is the first time we see Planchett be friendly to anyone, let alone Iris and Wadsworth- all while Broodhollow burns and monsters stalk the streets.
# Characters.FireEmblemGenealogyOfTheHolyWarFirstGeneration: in Chapter 5, he and Jamke can have a conversation. In it, Dew tells Jamke that he likes him and that he's sorry for being a pain in the neck to him. It happens again later with Maxwell Post who deliberately turned his back on Sam and acted as if he were distracted with a data-pad. He was decidedly uneasy when he still had his wallet afterwards.
# Recap.SonicTheHedgehogIDWMisadventuresArc: Vanilla the Rabbit, the closest equivalent to the Sonic franchise's warm and motherly Yamato Nadeshiko archetype (next to her daughter), comes back to see that the Skunks have ruined their dinner with the Chaotix, and all the hard work that went into it. She visibly changes her expressions, gives a Grin of Rage, and verbally cut into the skunks enough that they yield and apologize profusely.

The real Washington was also a privately religious man who abhorred swearing. So, when Washington came to Connor for help in panicky desperation, shouting "Goddamn it" to Connor during his pleading, Connor drops all reservations he had against Washington after the Battle of Monmouth.
# YMMV.BlastphamousHD: The worst story would have to be #33, in which a female High School friend of his that he calls Maria had an affair with a male friend that he calls Jose. The on-again off-again boyfriend of Maria (who was the father of her child) found out about the affair and called things off for good, leading Maria to commit suicide. The person who told Maria's boyfriend about the affair was Maria's supposed friend Heather, an unattractive girl who was jealous of the attractive Maria and wanted Maria's boyfriend all to herself. The fact that Maurice refrained from using background music, stock images and didn't tell many jokes shows just how much that hurt him.
# Film.StillAlice: How Alice begins to realize that something is wrong with her. In the middle of a speech, she tries to find the right word for what she's describing, and takes several moments before settling on "word stock." Only on the ride home does she realize the word she was reaching for at the time: "lexicon."
# Recap.VeepS5E6Cnntgate: The economic crisis is enough to make Kent angrily address Selina as "Madam President, if-you'd-like-that-to-remain-your-title!"

# Recap.ChuanShuZiJiuZhiNanEpisode7: While he normally acts stern and somewhat aloof with Luo Binghe as part of his act as Shen Qingqiu, after they escape from Meng Mo's barrier, Shen Qingqiu acts completely gentle and reassuring towards Luo Binghe, especially since he just personally witnessed how much of a hard life Luo Binghe had lived.
# Fanfic.DannyPhantomVsTheParanormal: While she herself has no problem with killing her opponent, Ember is actually uncomfortable with how nonchalant Danny is being in destroying the Wendigos that attacked them. He doesn't want to consider what he did to the goblins is having an effect on him, so he justifies that the Wendigos are not even human anymore, just mindless animals. Pamela Manson calls Danny by his first name when she asks him where Sam is after he shows up at the shelter.
# Characters.WednesdayNevermoreAcademy: A prophetic drawing made by Rowan's mom during her time at Nevermore features her in a burning Nevermore, which both Rowan and his mom interpret as her being destined to destroy Nevermore. He's quite disturbed by the corrupted Snowdin area that appears in Rift 5, knowing that its creation was very likely a result of Asriel's Power Incontinence. Sindri and Brok also do this, demonstrating it and even abusing it from time to time while directly talking with the two, but this is noted as an actual ability dwarves have that lets them travel quickly and unseen.
