Wobbuffet's interruptions are actually a fairly clever EasterEgg which is mostly LostInTranslation from the original Japanese version. In Japan Wobbuffet is called ''Sonans'', which can be interpreted as saying ''"that's the way it is"''. The implication is that the statement "that's the way it is" is what Wobbuffet is actually saying most of the time, making his seemingly-random interruptions make sense in context.

** Ash catching the regional bird Pokémon (Pidgeot, Noctowl, Swellow, Staraptor, Unfezant, and Talonflame). He was 6 for 6 before the introduction of the Alola Pikipek-line, which he hasn't caught yet.
*** Although he did caught a Rowlet who was raised by a family of Pikipek-line.

** Clemont's inventions blowing up and leaving everyone with funny hair in the ''X and Y'' saga.
*** And his sister Bonnie would ask any girl to marry her brother before getting pulled away by his Aipom arm.

** In the anime when the Straw Hats are in Laboon and meet Crocus, they do a series of cuts that end with close-ups of Crocus' eye. It sounds ominous, but ends funny every time. Crocus even {{lampshade|Hanging}}s it:

** Regarding the title [=JoJos=]; if it's a vehicle, it flies and it contains at least one of them, it ''will'' crash. Joseph managed to weaponize this in Part 2.

** Polnareff from Part 3 tends to encounter trouble (or something strange) in bathrooms; first, he attempts to use a toilet in India only to find that [[spoiler:a live pig's sticking its head out of the commode. Seems that the toilets were placed over a pigsty and the lines weren't dug properly.]] Later on, when he's attacked by the Stand Justice, he gets trapped in a bathroom; once he's injured by the Stand and placed under its control, he's forced to [[spoiler: lick the toilet clean.]] It's even {{lampshade|Hanging}}d by Joseph, who mentions Polnareff when he's about to use a bathroom in Egypt, where [[spoiler:he would have had to let his...dung turn into dust and use sand to clean his hands.]]
** In Part 4, Josuke will pound the living tar out of people who insult his hair. This was given a CerebusRetcon during his first encounter with Rohan where Koichi reveals that [[spoiler: that Josuke had a really bad fever as a child, and there was a blizzard going on when his mother tried taking him to the hospital, leading to her getting stuck. A stranger with a pompadour helps them out, and Josuke had since started wearing his hair like that out of gratitude]].
** In Part 5, Mr.President, the turtle's Stand, creates a furnished hotel room, complete with a functional TV and a fridge. However, there's no bathroom, which comes up in almost every scene where the gang is inside it. [[spoiler:It's also an extension of the above bathroom joke, as Polnareff of all people ends up getting his soul permanently trapped inside the turtle's body and its Stand. How fitting that he has to spend the rest of his life in a room with no bathroom.]]

** To translate, Yugo's name sound similar to the Japanese word for "Fusion". Because of this, he gets triggered whenever someone says "Fusion".
** On a related note to Yugo, whenever he tries to Glomp someone that looks like Rin. Different retaliations happen. Yuzu hits him with the PaperFanOfDoom, Selena punches him in the face, and when he FINALLY reunites with Rin... she gives him a knee to the gut that would make Captain Falcon proud. It only makes fans wonder what Ruri would have done to him...
