YMMV, and zero context

* CrowningMomentOfFunny: The two main villains of Surge 1, drugged up and restrained. Need I say more? Oh, alright then:
--> "Are you even a real captain? WHERE THE FUCK IS YOUR BOAT, MR. CAPTAIN!?"

The series also includes a prequel, which deserves a mention. Though not intended to be a prequel, the RP ''Overcharged'', written by one Pandarenba, was a similar idea, though it sourced from the premise of just make up a character and do whatever you want. After the ensuing chaos, something approaching a structured storyline appeared, and it developed to be an excellent game, save for one thing; the apparent disappearance of the GM. A while after, a player of the first game, ThreeWords (who played a character by the same name) asked for permission to do a tribute in the same universe; and thus ''Surge'' was born.

Though based in the same universe, ''Surge'' was more rule bound than ''Overcharged'', though that still meant a lot of free will for the characters. Anyone from ''Overcharged'' was welcome to join, but only two did, transferring their characters. The ensuing RP, while slightly ordered, was still rather chaotic, and matters weren't helped by ThreeWords going AWOL, both in character and presence, though skill by the players allowed it to remain intact long enough for her to return. The finale was by all accounts awe-inspiring, and a sequel was called for.

A new episode, Strain, is in it's opening stages, and will shortly begin. It is still under ThreeWords' management, but a number of veterans stand by to rescue the story/take power should he disappear as she is prone to do

Gotta keep up with the times!

''Surge'' is a role-play set in roughly NextSundayAD, in which the players assume the roles of various supers (the term superheroes having been dropped due to the rather large villain demographic). The game is now about to restart its second installment, and is now under new management (to wit, a certain Yorgmiester), the previous GM being both notoriously unreliable and at the moment overworked.

The sequel, ''Surge 2'', was more rule bound, but let down by the further unreliability of the GM, who, since he's also writing this section, cannot comment much on the events.

''Surge 2'' started well, with many excellent characters and writers, but due to a lack of structure or GM, it fell apart very quickly. The players took over control of the world, and while many of them did a good job, the storyline and pace escalated rather too fast, and thus the enjoyment was lost, and the RP turned into yet another gigantic mess of brawling characters. A trainwreck, to be sure. ''Surge 2'', due to its ultimate failing, was abruptly called to a halt, and is currently being restarted....

The A sequel, ''Surge 2'', was more rule bound, indeed planned, but let down never happened.
