A World Without America (or "AWWA") is an alternate history roleplay on NationStates. The main POD is about what you would expect: America is defeated in the Revolutionary War. There have been three different AWWA timelines:

First, there was the first series ("AWWA 0"), which is generally not counted with the later two. It didn't last very long due to disputes over Japanese and Chinese power. Notable divergences include Irish independence the 1770s and the murder of the last surviving member of the House of Osmanli by Maria Theresa. Of the RP'ers in the pilot, only Shrillland, Unicario, and Ruridova were in the later variants.

Second came AWWA 1. The story primarily focuses around the British Empire beating the Americans in their revolution, but has had several other effects as nations rewrite the history of their nations; including a Japanese Empire being a juggernaut and being best frenemies with China, to a Confederate naval and air attack on Pearl Harbor in 1891 as part of a twisted version of Manifest Destiny, to the Inca Empire surviving Spanish conquest, to the German principalities uniting in the 1820s to form a Greater Germany, to.... well, you get the point. It was by far the longest running, getting into the 1900s within the RP and with the rest of the RP mapped out to the present. AWWA 1's RP'ers form the main body of AWWA'ers- Shrillland, Ruridova, Vaktovia, Luziyca, Unicario, and Bojikami- were part of AWWA 1. It ended due to a long and confusing series of plots and arguments that should probably just be left as a Noodle Incident.

The most recent is AWWA 2, OP'ed by Unicario instead of Shrillland. AWWA 2 is only in 1775 right now. The core RP'ers of AWWA 1 kept on to AWWA 2, joined by United Marxist Nations, but Shrilland has left, unfortunately. He was sort-of replaced by Estainia, who would serve the role of unbiased-historical-context-provider but not the moderator role.

* {{Pen Name}}: Queen Catherine of Prussia is referred to as "Ludwig von Licht" in her political writings.
** {{Whole Plot Reference}}: "Ludwig von Licht" is infact a reference to AWWA 1, and the (in)famous "von Licht" writing dynasty. And not, as was briefly though, an ancestor of Ruridova's whose name was Ludwig von Licht who had been the inspiration for Georg von Licht.
* {{Heroic Sacrifice}}: Baron von Steuben in Kyiv when the assassins try to murder Queen Catherine.
* {{Badass Princess}}: Queen Catherine, only 14 years old, leads a regiment of 7,000 Cossacks into Prussia and defeats her usurpers.
* {{KidHero}}: The King of Greece is 18, the Queen of Prussia is 16, and the King of the Two Sicilies is 12. This does not make them any less capable. The first two have definitively beaten far more experienced individuals in the game of politics.
* {{Regent for Life}}: Herr Krenz and his cadre of regents in 1773 when they attempt to assassinate Queen Catherine and usurp her power.
* {{Jerkass Gods}}: Unicario, as OP, has practically unlimited powers to do as she pleases.
** {{Disproportionate Retribution}}: Unicario as OP may do this to someone.
*** Ottoman Empire does this when they publicly execute the Ecumenical Patriarch because Greece.
* {{The Empire}}: The ''Holy Roman Empire'', of course! Also, France, Britain, and China.
** {{Vestigial Empire}}: The above plus Spain.
* {{Rising Empire}}: Egypt, Prussia (now Germany), Japan
* {{Martial Pacifist}}: Kathrinite Prussia. She will not lead her country into a war, but she will defend her fatherland to her dying day.
* {{Inadequate Inheritor}}: Catherine is the only child of Friedrich the Great. Unfortunately, when he died in 1760, she was an infant. Austria doesn't recognize her accession to the throne, and she had to put down a noble rebellion at 14. Fortunately, her cousin, OTL's Friedrich Wilhelm II, has no interest in being King.
* {{You Are in Command Now}}: Catherine of Prussia becoming Feldmarschall of the ''Kosakregiment'' during her march through Poland.
* {{I Shall Taunt You}}: Cossack declaration of war against the Ottoman Empire in both 1683 and in 1773.
* {{Defiant to the End}}: Cossacks and Prussia in regards to Russia and Austria.

** Also Baron von Steuben.
** And the Chunliming Emperor.
* {{Cower Power}}: During the war between Spain and Egypt over Morocco, in order to avoid confrontation with Egypt, Spain withdraws all the way across Morocco to Rabat and Casablanca and cowers behind their defenses.
* {{Continuity Lock Out}}: This happens far too often with the backstories and histories of some nations, in AWWA 0, AWWA 1 and AWWA 2.
* {{An Offer You Cant Refuse}}: Ali Bey's peace offer to Ferdinand Capello of Spain.
** Nobody knows if he'll actually accept it or not.

* {{Shown Their Work}}: Estania, the resident historian.
* {{Flashback}}: Ali Bey has one after the Turks hang the Ecumenical Patriarch.
* {{Imperial China}}: The Ming dynasty remains a world power and survived well into 1903.
* {{God Emperor}}: The Chunliming Emperor, unintentionally is revered by his people.

Second came AWWA1. The story primarily focuses around the British Empire beating the Americans in their revolution, but has had several other effects as nations warp the fabric of history around their nations, including a Japanese Empire being a juggernaut and being best friends with China, to the Confederate attack on Pearl Harbor in 1891 as part of a twisted version of Manifest Destiny, to the Inca Empire surviving Spanish conquest, to the German principalities uniting in the 1820s to form a Greater Germany, to the Russian Empire quashing Kerensky and the Bolsheviks, to.... well, you get the point. It was by far the longest running, getting into the 1900s within the RP and with the rest of the RP mapped out to the present. AWWA1's RPers form the main body of AWWAers- Shrillland, Ruridova, Vaktovia, Luziyca, Unicario, and Bojikami- were part of AWWA1. It ended after some revelations about plotting arose.

The most recent is AWWA2, OPed by Unicario instead of Shrillland. AWWA2 is only in 1773 right now. The core RPers of AWWA1 kept on to AWWA2, joined by United Marxist Nations and of the Quendi.

* {{The Reason You Suck Speech}}: President Thomas Hendricks of the CSA is asked to speak before the Supreme Court in the case ''Department of Justice v. CS Congress'', on behalf of the DoJ. He lists the reason why Belinsky sucks, but then says that Congress's attempt to ban Belinsky's book is even worse, throwing in lots of references to the Founding Fathers for good measure. A World Without America(or "AWWA") is an alternate history roleplay on NationStates. There have been three different AWWA timelines:

Firstly, there was the first series, which is generally not counted with the later two. It didn't last very long due to disputes over Japanese and Chinese power. Notable divergences include Irish independence the 1770s and the murder of the last surviving member of the House of Osmanli by Maria Theresa. Of the RPers in the pilot, only Shrillland, Unicario, and Ruridova were in the later variants.

Secondly, was AWWA1.
