After hearing a heart-song from Mo, Zoey follows him to church, where she learns he presents as a man. Mo calls her out for making assumptions when she herself is not religious, and Zoey must now make amends. Mo later explains that he was constantly discriminated against in church growing up and presents masculine to avoid this. Zoey also connects with her downstairs neighbor Bonnie.

David cares for Mitch for the week and tries to create a "big moment" for him while Zoey recommends her mother to Simon and Jessica after their wedding florist cancels.
