The BFFL are invited to Jasper's party, but trouble begins to brew thanks to a book Ruby found that outline how to act while there. Most of the rules are shallow or counterproductive to friendship, and to make matters worse, Snarf has infiltrated the party by posing as a troll boy and a cute poodle. With some unwitting help from Coral, who gives Ruby a bad hairdo, Snarf systematically turns the BFFL against each other and sabotages Flint's guitar-playing when he tries to smooth things over. By the end of the party Ruby, Amethyst, Sapphire, Topaz, and Onyx are sick of it and each other. They move to cast a group spell to dissolve their friendship, but Simon's preemptive gloating helps them realize their mistake--and the Magic of the Five helps set things right. The girls end the party on a happy note, reaffirming their friendship.
