Misplaced trope.

* GoryDiscretionShot: "Gory" is a strong word, but we are treated to one of these when Sedusa's hair gets cut, which is clearly a horrific ordeal given that she relies on it to commit her crimes.

* OOCIsSeriousBusiness: Miss Bellum acts really unlike her usual self in this episode (like using her looks to seduce the mayor into letting her take some time off, and crying when she apparently fails to notify the girls in time to stop a crime), which quickly tips off the viewer that something is not right about her. Eventually, her apparently capturing Sedusa on her own tips off the girls that she's not Miss Bellum but Sedusa in disguise.

* RecycledScript: This episode carries some similarities to "Stuck Up, Up and Away", as both episodes have a main female villain who
** is voiced by Jennifer Hale
** easily defeats Buttercup and Bubbles of the Powerpuff Girls.
** is defeated by the redheaded female lead of the episode: Blossom in "Stuck Up, Up and Away", and Ms. Bellum here, as Blossom is defeated and captured by Sedusa.

Removing the foreshadowing trope as I don't think the writers planned the Gang as that was after most of the crew left after the movie.

* {{Foreshadowing}}: When the girls contemplate who could possibly be behind the crimes without leaving a trace of evidence, one of the suspects brought up is the Gangreen Gang, which Blossom rules out and deems as "juvie" (meaning they're most likely doing time in juvenile hall after [[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirlsS2E6SlaveTheDayLosDosMojo their graffiti spree]]). Four seasons later, in [[Recap/ThePowerpuffGirlsS6EP8Aspirations one of the episodes there, someone was behind another clever heist without leaving a lick of evidence]]. Guess who it was? Coincidentally, Sedusa also appears in that episode.

Added DiffLines:

* ProperlyParanoid: The girls were right that at the end that Mojo wanted to do something harmful. He just wanted them to be paranoid at the start so he can let their guard down to depower them.

* VaryingCompetencyAlibi: Mojo Jojo, despite his intelligence, is such a poor planner that when the girls try to figure out who is behind a string of robberies, they rule him out as a suspect because the robberies were too well-planned out.
