* TakeThat: Norlock’s hatred of 'Literature/{{Twilight}}'' comes up again, as he attacks a convention for a SerialNumbersFiledOff version of the franchise, taking the time to air a lot of the same complaints people have about it in real life (though the story also takes the time to lampshade how petty some haters of the series can be).

Added DiffLines:

In a bad mood after a disastrous date with Miss Bitters, Norlock takes out his rage on a fan convention for a vampire movie franchise.

----
*BadDate: Norlock and Miss Bitters at the start of the chapter. It starts off fairly well, to be fair, until his BerserkButton is hit, causing him to flip the table and spill all the food over her.
*BerserkButton: As previously stated, any comparisons to ''Twilight'' style vampires sets Norlock into a rage.
*CallBack: Zim and Slab Rankle recognize each other from their canonical meeting.
*ContinuityNod: Skoodge starts the chapter in a full body cast, still recuperating from having part of a building fall on him last chapter.
*CurbStompBattle: Slab Rankle fights Norlock, and gets his ass kicked. In the end, he actually wins, but only by tricking Norlock onto a rocket and launching him out of the Mall.
*DisproportionateRetribution: Norlock tries to kill an entire convention of vampire movie fans, just because he doesn't like their portrayal of vampires.
*{{Eagleland}}: Slab Rankle is presented as a Type 2 — he's boisterous, aggressive, has flags planted everywhere just so they can flutter behind him dramatically when he wants to make a point, and his answer for why he built a rocket beneath the Mall is simply "Because America!"
*EvilVsEvil: Norlock facing off with [[WellIntentionedExtremist Slab Rankle]].
*FanConvention: The chapter's main plot is Norlock attacking one of these for the vampire movie franchise ''Sunset''.
*GoKartingWithBowser: Zim and Team Save Earth sit back together to enjoy the show as Norlock verbally bashes the convention attendees, and then fights Slab Rankle.
*GrievousHarmWithABody: At one point, Norlock uses the MC of the convention as a bludgeon against the assembled fans. Later, he throws the movie's stars at Slab Rankle.
*HatesEveryoneEqually: Miss Bitters clarifies this is the case with her. She just hates children a bit more than everyone else.
*HumanResources: The food Nny serves Norlock and Miss Bitters on their date is taken from a box labeled "long pig".
*IRejectYourReality: Dib comments on Zim's habit of doing this.
*InsaneTrollLogic: Rankle's mindset appears to be that if he says things are done in the name of security, then it doesn't matter how absurd they are.
*MythologyGag: Jeff Sheffy, a TV reporter introduced in Issue 3 of the comic series, briefly cameos when announcing the convention.
*NoodleIncident: Dib offers a critique of Slab Rankle's zombies, with the implication that he's got experience with them, but doesn't offer clarification on how. According to the author, this is a reference a canon example, where Membrane implied that Dib raised the dead once.
*NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: The convention Norlock attacks is for a ''Twilight'' knockoff called ''Sunset'', which features parodies of the former’s cast.
*PassThePopcorn: Zim eats popcorn out of GIR's head while watching Norlock attack the convention. Viera and Steve help themselves to some later on.
*ShoutOut: This exchange, paraphrased from ''Film/VampireInBrooklyn'':
-->'''Nny''': Let me guess — the fastest way to someone's heart is through the stomach, right?
-->'''Norlock''': Actually it's through the ribcage, but that can be messy.
*TakeThat: Norlock’s hatred of 'Literature/{{Twilight}}'' comes up again, as he attacks a convention for a SerialNumbersFiledOff version of the franchise, taking the time to air a lot of the same complaints people have about it in real life (though the story also takes the time to lampshade how petty some haters of the series can be).
*ThroughHisStomach: Norlock believes in this. Nny thinks it's stupid.
*WeCanRuleTogether: Near the end of the chapter, Rankle repeats his offer to Zim to rule the Mall with him. Since Zim still wants to conquer the entire Earth, he once again turns it down.
*WellIntentionedExtremist: Slab Rankle will do anything to protect the order of the Mall.
*YouKeepUsingThatWord: Norlock calls out Slab Rankle for his continued use of the word "punk".
