Semyon brought a baby carriage into the hospital. For whatever reason, he refuses Bykov to see his daughter in it. What bykov doesn't know is that Lobanov actually tries to smuggle booze for the other doctors. Bykov, worrying about Semyon acting irresponsibly towards his daughter, sends Lyuba to check, but Semyon refuses to let her near his daughter, in very rude and cruel manner, which reminds her about being lone and childless, driving her to tears. Bykov learns about it and goes to confront Semyon about it, but learns about the scheme with contraband booze, as Semyon made a mistake of leaving the carriage in the corridor, about which he tells to Lyuba, making her ''very'' angry at Lobanov. Semyon, meanwhile, goes into panic due to misplacing the carriage. Fortunately, it was found by Bykov. '''Un'''fortunately, Bykov is already aware about its content. Bykov allows him to continue operation since Lobanov would lose way too much money if just confiscate the booze, but takes two bottles as "a compensation", as well as orders him to apologise before Lyuba.

Maxim has an expensive gift (a new I-Pad) for Bykov, but other interns asks him to not give it to Bykov, since they can't match it, and Bykov can start treating them worse for it. He agrees, and puts it away. What he doesn't mention is that it's indeed a gift... but not for Bykov. Later, angry Bykov rushes to his interns to yell on them for their screwups, only to notice some strange box. Sophia and Alexei, in attempt to calm him down, states that this is their collective gift for Bykov. They later tries to explain what happened to Maxim, only to learn that it's indeed a gift... but not for Bykov: it's another of Maxim's schemes which went wrong. Now, they must either convince Bykov to return the gift (which would be suicidal, given how it would spoil Bykov's mood), find enough money to buy a replacement within several hours (''a lot'' of money), or to somehow explain why Maxim failed to provide already promised gift to a ''very'' important official. The decides to try the second option. Ultimately, they don't collect the money, but Max comes up with another solution: he fakes being robbed, so he may buy a cheap, but sentimental and situation-appropriate gift instead... a pepper spray.

Gleb must stay home and babysit his little brother, Ilya. Unfortunately, he already has a plans for his new girlfriend, Katia. Since she refuses to believe what he cancelled their date for good reason, he invited her to Kisegach's house to see all by herself.

Semyon brought baby carriage into the hospital. For whatever reason, he refused Bykov to see his daughter in it. Reason soon became apparent: he tries to smuggle booze in it, for other doctors.

Maxim has an expensive gift (new I-Pad) for Bykov, but other interns asked him to not give it to Bykov, since they can't match it and Bykov can start treating them worse for it. He agreed, and put it away. What he didn't mentioned is what it was indeed a gift... but not for Bykov.

Bykov asked Lyuba to check on Lobanov, since he acts way too irresponsibly, and Bykov fears for his daughter. She tried to take his daughter away, stating what his departments is terrible place for little girl, only for him to refuse her in very rude and cruel manner (reminding her about her being lone and childless), driving her to tears.

Angry Bykov rushed to his interns to yell on them for their screwups, but then noticed some strange box. Sophia and Alexei, in attempt to calm him down, stated what this is their collective gift for Bykov.

Kupitman reprimands Kisegach on leaving Gleb alone with Ilya: little baby is a great way to win some points with girl, by exploiting her maternal instincts. So, very likely he already invited someone to Kisegach's house. Which also means, she would be required to do some... cleaning afterwards, if she knows what Kupitman means. Kisegach at first considered just being his professional deformation. He revealed what he used this same scheme himself back in his days.

Bykov learned what Semyon offended Lyuba, in ''very'' cruel manner, and went to deal with him... only to find out about his scheme with contraband booze (because Semyon leaved it in the corridor), and brought it to Lyuba. Now, she is angry.

Sophia and Alexei trying to explain what happened with his "gift", and learn what it was never supposed to be for Bykov in the first place, Max just couldn't resist yet another (questionable) scheme and now suffers consequences of his failure.

Gleb tried to have sex with Katia, only for something to always remind him what firstly, he is in his mother's house, and secondly, this is Bykov's house, too, killing all mood. But he has an alternative idea: they could use elevator!

Semyon is in panic: carriage with booze is missing! Fortunately, Bykov found it. ''Un''fortunately, Bykov also already aware what it contains booze. Bykov allowed him to continue his operation since he would lose way too much money if Bykov just confiscates all booze, but took two bottles "as compensation"; he also ordered Semyon to apologise before Lyuba.

So, now interns must somehow either convince Bykov to return the gift (which would put in in ''very'' bad mood, making this plan downright suicidal), find enough money for replacement in less than one day (very big sum of money), or to find a way how to explain while Maxim failed to provide (already promised) gift to ''very'' important official. Of three options, they took the second one.

Just when Kisegach finally arrived... turns out what Gleb and Katia are stuck in the elevator, forcing them to use walkie-talkie they took with themselves to control Ilya to call for help. Fortunately, help arrived soon (even though it led Gleb to several ''very'' embarrassing moments).

Max went with his "hit in the eye" plan; while he failed to obtain enough money to buy replacement for original gift, he compensated for it with sob story of robbery and with cheap, but sentimental and situation-appropriate gift... pepper spray.
