* FingerInTheMail: {{Discussed|Trope}} by Murdock after his plant is stolen along with the van. He says that the thieves probably cut off a leaf and send it to him as proof that they have the plant.

* KissOfDistraction: Face is snooping in Friendly's office and finishes up just before Cindy arrives. Unfortunately, he notices that he didn't entirely shut the safe door. So he swoops her into a passionate kiss. She reciprocates, which distracts her long enough for him to close the door with his foot.

* IronicName: One of the villains, a car dealer involved in the chop shop business, who cooperates with a murder attempt and nearly shoots Hannibal, Face, and B.A., is called Sam Friendly. It's lampshaded more than once how the name is far from appropriate.

* MortonsFork: Friendly orders the team (minus Murdock) to tell him who they are and who their bosses are. Hannibal refuses. When the guy persists, he points out that they're going to get shot anyway.

The A-Team takes another pro-bono case when a young friend of B.A.'s falls under suspicion of having stolen expensive cars off a lot. The team sets a trap for the chop-shop operation suspected of being responsible, using Face's Corvette as bait, but things quickly go awry when B.A.'s van is stolen instead. The team tries to recover their van, in the process finding that the operation's criminal involvement is even deeper than they think.

* ImmediateSelfContradiction: When Hannibal figures out that Tony Victor is planning on killing the D.A. trying to punish him at Judge Holloway's funeral, Face protests that Victor's "not crazy enough" to do something like that. After a brief pause, he admits that, yes, he ''is'' crazy enough.

!!This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
* HypocriticalHumor: When B.A. and Face are yelling at each other over their respective rides, Murdock calls it "a typical product of the 20th century unenlightened male...fighting over an inanimate object", and then proceeds to moan about his plant, which was taken when the villains took the van.
* IronicNickname: "Tiny" Roscoe, who is described as being "huge." Of course, Murdock takes he opportunity to lampshade it.
