Senn rides on Timber towards Biggerton as Igneous explains the physiology of Magnorites and a little about himself. As the two then talk about their life situations, Jalkar suddenly leaps out of the bushes and tackles Senn off of Timber, wanting the horse for himself. Igneous politely tells Jalkar that Timber is Senn's only for Jalkar to try to stab him. Igneous, being a Magnorite, is completely unharmed by Jalkar's blade and punches him a great distance, apologising as Jalkar runs off with the Dragon Egg.

They arrive at the map shop and request a map of Ardonia. Marshall, the shopkeeper, ask for 50 gold, but gives them a map of Conchord, saying the'll have to pay double for all of Ardonia. After once again asking for a map of all of Ardonia, he says they'll have to pay 200 gold, despite what he just said. Another customer comes in and Marshall then says that maps of Ardonia will cost 50 gold, Igneous complains about this, and it's clear at this point that Marshall is prejudice towards Magnorites.

Senn and Igneous approach a river near where Ataraxia is supposed to be, though there doesn't seem to be a road leading to Ataraxia. They are scouted by a guardian, who then attempts to pull Senn into the water, only for Igneous to stop that from happening. However, three more guardians turn up and they successfully pull Senn into the water. Senn quickly swims towards a sea lantern underwater, and the guardians back off, but only because there is a Elder Guardian nearby, who makes eye contact with Senn, preparing to judge him.

!!Tropes:!!Tropes:
* AlwaysABiggerFish: In a quite literal manner, the Elder Guardian a the end of the episode is this, as the regular guardians are seem swimming away from it.
* AnimalReactionShot: Timber reacts with complete surprise when Igneous punches away Jalkar, in the same manner that Senn did.
* ApologeticAttacker: Igneous attempts to apologise to Jalkar after punching him a good distance after the latter tried to stab him.
--> '''Igneous:''' ''(as Jalkar's making a run for it)'' W-wait! I didn't mean to hurt you! I really don't know what came over me. ''(to himself)'' I hope I didn't hurt him too much.
* TheBarnum: Marshall the map shop owner is a man who constantly changes the prices of his items in order to take advantage of young travellers, and it's implied that several other merchants are like this as well. Marshall's FantasticRacism towards Magnorites is also a major factor in this.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: Igneous is shown to a NiceGuy throughout most of the episode, but he is a Magnorite, and when sufficiently angered, will attack an assailant, as he did with Jalkar. Being Igneous however, he tries to apologise (See above).
* BigWhat: Lucan gives one after Kiyoshi says that he has to tag along for the attack on Mount Tempus.
* BreatherEpisode: This episode is mostly dedicated to WorldBuilding, mostly by introducing us to the society of Ardonia, such as the situation of Magnorites, and the Felden military. It's also the first episode where two story arcs meet up (in this case the Ardoni arc and the Dragon Stone arc).
* ContinuityNod:
** Jalkar, [[Recap/SongsOfWarS1E05Episode5 once again]], tries to steal a horse, and once again, he fails miserably.
** Lucan sees the Felden officials who gave him the task of investigating the Necromancers [[Recap/SongsOfWarS1E03Episode3 from the third episode]].
*** Also concering Felora (where the seen takes place), a beacon is seen in the centre of the city, just as it was in Oakendale (Episode 4).
** Igneous mentions that most Magnorites tend to aggressive, and that their home kingdom of K'arthen attacked Cydonia for seemingly no reason, as explained in [[Recap/SongsOfWarS1E04Episode4 Episode 4]].
** Lucan's [[Recap/SongsOfWarS1E02Episode2 time in prison]] is mentioned by Kiyoshi when they're at Fort Zuka. Apparently Lucan has been to most of the prisons within the kingdom of Felden by the time the series takes place.
* ContrivedCoincidence: Two story arcs meet up for the first time in Biggerton, Conchord; where they happen to be of great use to each other in their respective searches.
** Ataraxia, where Senn and Igneous are heading too, happens to be very close by, as indicated by the mere ''seconds'' Igneous took to look at the map.
* TheDreaded: Herobrine (who in this universe is an urban legend), is feared by many people in Ardonia, such as the citizen in the bar at Biggerton.
--> '''Citizen:''' Don't say his name! It's bad luck.
* FantasticRacism: Magnorites are victims of this, since their home kingdom's attack on Cydonia, combined with their already aggressive temperament, has turned much of the populace in the other kingdoms against them, addressing them with hostility.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: Igneous innocently questions Senn about why he isn't with his family, having apparently never found out about it due to talking so much.
* InstantlyProvenWrong: Igneous when talking about the guardians he and Senn encounter in the river at the end of the episode.
--> '''Senn:''' Are they friendly?
--> '''Igneous:''' I think so...
--> ''(the guardian tries to pull Senn into the water with it's TractorBeam)''
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: A bartender in the tavern in Biggerton casually talks about the stories in the series, even including a TitleDrop.
--> '''Citizen:''' People sang songs of war, adventure, and magic.
* MrExposition: Igneous explains a lot about the physiology and temperament of Magnorites in this episode, as well as their LogicalWeakness (swimming in water).
* {{Nepotism}}: Lucan implies that Kiyoshi got a much easier route to becoming captain due to his father's position.
--> '''Lucan:''' Well it's good to see Felden is willing to promote anyone with the right father.
* NowWhat: Lucan and Niika discuss what they'll do after delivering the orders to Fort Zuka, and both aren't sure.
--> '''Niika:''' So... after we deliver the order... what then? Any plans for what comes next?
--> '''Lucan:''' Oh I uh... I haven't given it much thought... how about yourself?
--> '''Niika:''' I don't know either... this is what I've been doing for years. I can't imagine it coming to an end, let alone what comes after.
--> [[ShipTease''(they briefly make eye contact before looking away)'']]
* OhCrap:
** Jalkar has this reaction after he realised that Igneous was a Magnorite, and was immune to his attacks from his knife.
** Igneous and Senn react this way when several guardians surface from the river.
* OneHeadTaller: Since Igneous is a Magnorite, he enters the tavern scraping the top of his head on the doorway ceiling.
* PragmaticHero: This is Kiyoshi's response to the orders from Felora that Lucan is to accompany him on the attack on the Necrobase, as he talks with Lucan.
--> '''Kiyoshi:''' I don't want a criminal in my ranks any more than you want to be under my command, but, orders are orders. So let's get this mission over quickly, for both our sakes.
* PunchedAcrossTheRoom: Jalkar ends up like this after Igneous retaliates for Jalkar's attempted stabbing.
* ShipTease: Lucan and Niika awkwardly make eye contact after their conversation in Felora. Lucan also has this to say when the two of them are to deliver the order to Fort Zuka.
--> '''Lucan:''' Looks like we're stuck together for just a bit longer.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: Lucan and Kiyoshi display this, due to unspecified past events that have caused them to be rather hostile to one another.
* TemptingFate: Igneous in regards to the guardians he and Senn come across near the end of the episode.
--> '''Igneous:''' It's going to take more than that to take my friend, ha!
--> ''(The guardian resurfaces with along with three more. Cut to OhCrap reactions from Senn and Igneous.)''
* TwoLinesNoWaiting: Zigzagged, while there are multiple story arcs that for the most part are separate from each other, this is the very first episode where two story arcs meet up, bringing better continuity for the series.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: Igneous explains that the lifespans of Magnorites are incredibly short, since he, a 14-year-old, is already around halfway through his life, hence why he's WalkingTheEarth.

Outside, Igneous admits that people tend to act like that when they see a Magnorite. They lament this, but the customer who went into the shop, who as it turns out is Abbigail, offers them her map just to look at. They talk for a little, and Igneous tells Abbigail of where Jalkar was heading, just as he figures out where Ataraxia is, which fortunately isn't far. The two parties then head off on their respective journeys.

Meanwhile, Niika and Lucan have reached Fort Zuka, and are greeted by the sargeant, Alec. As they enter the Fort, Lucan recognises the Captain of the guard as Kiyoshi, with whom he has history with. After sending minor insults at each other, Lucan gives him the orders from Felora, only to find out from Kiyoshi that the orders force Lucan to accompany Lucan in the attack on the Necrobase. Lucan is terrified of this prospect, but Kiyoshi says that that was how things are, and Lucan, begrudgingly, follows the orders.

'''Synopsis:''' Senn and Igneous continue their search for Ataraxia, and stop into the town of Biggerton in search of a map. They meet a surprising and unexpected friend. Meanwhile, Lucan is sent to Fort Zuka to enlist the Felden military to fight against the growing Necromancer threat.

Back in Felora, Lucan has reported everything he can about the Necromancer to the authorities, who decide that the Necromancers must be dealt with swiftly. They give Lucan a directive to take to Fort Zuka, and the militia based there will be the ones responsible for the attack on the Necrobase. Lucan and Niika then head to Fort Zuka, and on their way out of Felora, they both admit that they haven't any idea what they would do after the whole Necromancer business is over and done with. They awkwardly make eye contact before they continue walking.

Senn and Igneous enter a tavern in Biggerton to inquire about where they might find a map, and are directed to a map shop a short distance away. Senn gets some bread from the bar, though not without some prejudice towards both him and Igneous from a rude patron.
-> '''Senn:''' What was that all about?
-> '''Igneous:''' No one really trusts Magnorites. Most of us tend to be aggressive... and the whole "attacking our neighbour" [Cydonia] fiasco hasn't helped our reputation. ''(upbeat)'' But now is not the time to digress, let's go find that map!

They arrive at the map shop and request a map of Ardonia. Marshall, the shopkeeper, ask for 50 gold, but gives them a map of Conchord, saying the'll have to pay double for all of Ardonia.
