The majority of longtime residents are able to recall detailed and intricate memories relating to interactions with "Vince". The county registrar's office has been found to have several official documents on file relating to "Vince", including a birth certificate, a driver’s license, a high school diploma, a bachelor’s degree in astronomy, and a deed of ownership for the land the trees are growing from in Vince’s name.

They are reluctant to meet the gaze of any individual and tend to look downward in the absence of outside stimulus. They will respond to simple questions by nodding in the affirmative or negative. Initial encounters occur when a parent discovers the "child" in a state of apparent distress. Subjects report an "overwhelming feeling of pity" for the specimen and, in every recorded case, take it into their home. Once brought into a home, 1076 begins to monopolize the attention of the parents to the exclusion of their own biological children, who begin to show signs of neglect and malnutrition, becoming depressed, sullen, and withdrawn. Behavioral problems such as truancy and running away become frequent, which may attract the attention of school authorities or social welfare agents, who will become obsessed with the welfare of 1076 and subsequently ignore the children. An infestation typically ends with the deaths of the parents, as they neglect their own well-being in order to attend to 1076, eventually succumbing to starvation or disease. If two specimens of 1076 meet, they will attack each other with great force, using teeth and fingernails, until one or both are dead

'''SCP-1077''' is a species of fungus bearing a distinct resemblance to some members of the genus Agaricus. The fungus grows in soil and produces white mushrooms with a fleshy, gilled cap and stalk. Unlike most members of its genus, 1077 produces extremely small, translucent spores which are largely invisible to the human eye. 1077 does not present overtly anomalous properties unless its spores are inhaled by humans. When inhaled in sufficient quantities, 1077 spores have a 70% chance of inducing systemic mycosis of the respiratory tract. The spores settle in the throat, windpipe, and lungs, where they begin to grow. This infection has no apparent symptoms for several days after first contact. After this, it begins to cause minor irritation to the throat and chest, as well as causing bouts of coughing. 12 to 18 days after initial infection, the primary anomalous effects of 1077 become apparent. Through an unknown mechanism, the fungus will alter the vocal patterns of the infected, causing them to make comments other than those the speaker had intended. This begins as slight mistakes and replacements of single words, but rapidly develops into a state where the fungus appears to be able to manipulate the host’s voice completely. The condition appears to have some effect on perception as well, as subjects often fail to notice the changes in their speech unless it is brought to their attention, and in some cases will fail to notice they have spoken at all. Changes in vocal patterns are diverse and initially completely incomprehensible to outside observers, but rapidly become more coherent as the condition progresses. Through changes in the host, 1077 may manipulate others, or in certain cases speak directly to observers.

The iris of the object is capable of altering its color, matching the color of the eye that was originally in the socket of its host. When inserted into the eye socket of a person missing one or both eyes, a series of "bristles" will extend and incorporate themselves into the optic nerve. Autopsies have confirmed that this is accomplished by barbs of pure silver that extrude from the bristles. Subjects describe this process, which takes approximately two hours, as an itching sensation, but almost none have reported pain during the process. After a period of time ranging from twelve hours to a few days, integration is complete, and subjects report a steadily growing ability to see through the eye. Over the following weeks, the subject's eyesight steadily becomes more and more sharp. Between 3 and 7 months, the subject's sight and other sensory abilities will peak. Starting from this point, 1078 will begin to selectively erase auditory and visual input from human subjects. This process will initially manifest as blurring of the images of select humans and sounds that subjects have described as "like a radio that's stuck between two channels”. Over time, targets will be erased completely from the subject's vision and hearing, including all video, photographs, and audio recordings. The process of erasure begins with a small number of people, no more than five. Complete erasure of all current targets is confirmed to be simultaneous. However, the number of targeted individuals in each "round" increases exponentially. In late stages, testing indicates that the subject is unable to perceive any human except themselves. The erasure process causes slowly developing paranoia and psychosis in the subject. During this time, the eye not only blocks out all stimuli from humans, but also creates artificial stimuli in the mind of its host. Subjects that are not terminated invariably kill themselves out of despair or by desperately trying to wrench 1078 out of their eye socket and dying from the resulting cranial hemorrhage. Shortly after death, 1078 will vanish from the host body and reappear elsewhere.

'''SCP-1080''' is a large black rectangular chamber resembling a sensory deprivation chamber in shape and size. Despite the resemblance, the tank contains no water, windows, or controls. Its magnetic locking mechanism activates when a child is placed in the chamber, and it is yet to be determined what happens when the chamber is locked. Children who enter the chamber emerge three to five days later, aged to approximately twenty years old. Time elapsed depends on the age of the child upon entering the chamber. 1080 has no effect on humans over the age of 13, but children between nine and twelve typically emerge with massive physical disabilities and psychoses. Humans exposed to the chamber are designated '''SCP-1080-1'''. They have no discernible personality, will not speak under any circumstances, and will respond only to an identification number and barcode tattooed onto the back of the left hand. When the switch is set to SHUTDOWN, the speaker will emit a high-pitched squeal for approximately ten seconds, followed by a voice speaking in an unknown language composed of Greek and Latin words, with a syntax and grammatical structure similar to Cherokee. After this message, subjects exposed to the sound will find themselves completely unable to speak or communicate via nonverbal means. Medical analysis indicates complete functionality of vocal cords and other non-neurological speech-related systems, while neurological analysis indicates that the subject is afflicted with a particularly extreme case of aphasia, rendering them capable of conceiving of speech but unable to express such thoughts through verbal means. Setting the speaker to REACTIVATE will cause a different message to be played, followed by a similar sound. Subjects hearing the second message will experience a reversal of their aphasia symptoms. If the aphasia is allowed to remain in place for longer than approximately twenty-four hours, it is rendered permanent. Subjects will also experience massive personality changes from their previous state, and will demonstrate greater reasoning skills and use of logic, though their actual knowledge and memories will be lessened. Conversely, all personnel that have committed violent acts against other human beings will undergo total psychological breakdowns, leading to attempts at self-harm and suicide. The object is also inhabited by an entity that can only be communicated with by subjects who have studied moral philosophy.

Exhumations of the gravesite revealed a long-deceased humanoid, revealed to be an American author who disappeared in Mexico in December 1913. Analysis of the body suggests the author was killed by multiple gunshot wounds at close range. The anomalous properties that seem to emanate from 1084 are centered on the nearby village. Subjects entering the village feel a strong sense of discomfort and guilt with no discernible cause, and invariably request to leave as soon as possible. The buildings show significant weather damage consistent with a lack of upkeep over many decades. It is also impossible for any human to recall or record the village's name, even at remote locations. If her diary is to be believed, she has lived in the village since her birth in 1896. Estrellita is mute and spends much of her time silently wandering the streets of the village, stopping only to sleep on the floor of various buildings. Every year on January 25th, Estrellita will approach 1084, reach into the mausoleum, and remove a bottle of seven-year-old rum and a single glass. She will then pour a drink into the glass, pour it over the grave, place the bottle and the glass atop the mausoleum, and lay down to sleep beside the mausoleum, awakening in the morning and returning to the town.

Once the subject is dead, all attackers will leave the area without feeding on the affected subject, suggesting that the flesh of affected animals seems poisonous to those under the influence of 1087-1. It should be pointed out that 1087 itself is immune to these effects, and it seems to feed naturally by eating the discarded meat. 1087 has shown wariness around humans, but is willing to attack them if it feels it can do so with little risk.

Victims typically wander out of the hospital in a daze within a few minutes. Most seem to experience some degree of amnesia as to what happened to them inside. Cross-checking with the recovered records of the hospital reveals that the embryos created by 1088's effects genetically match either stillborn fetuses or babies born at the hospital who died after delivery.

There appear to be several “channels” depending on the setting of the radial knob and each active channel has its own marked individual. Upon activation, he will lift his upper body, standing stiff and motionless until deactivation. Biological examination has shown 1093 to be a living and healthy human from the neck down. He displays a stable heartbeat and steady, constant breathing, but how he is capable of respiration is unknown, as there are no visible openings to allow any form of inhalation or exhalation. For approximately the first 24 hours, the effect will only manifest on objects, barely larger than a penny. Over the next 2 weeks, the effect will increase the maximum size of affected objects to the point where contact will convert all solid matter into pennies.

If placed on a keychain with two or more keys of a similar make, 1016 will gradually alter its appearance to match the others over the course of several weeks. The train that the absent conductor was scheduled to operate will then begin function along its planned route, stopping at stations and allowing passengers to board and disembark as normal. Despite this, the driver’s cabin will be entirely empty. Camera footage of affected trains shows the vehicle’s controls operating without any visible operator. Under most circumstances, the train will operate for a full working day, and then be left at the appropriate sidings at the end of a driver’s shift. Should individuals attempt to make contact with the conductor of the train, they will learn that it is driverless. If this should happen, an affected train will immediately accelerate to dangerous speeds, ignoring all stop signals and potentially injuring members of the public who are attempting to board or disembark, and likely resulting in the train itself de-railing or colliding with another vehicle. Any conscious passengers aboard the train will quickly begin to develop a number of harmful symptoms including headaches, brain hemorrhages, hallucinations, loss of rationality, onsets of violent behavior, and self-harm/mutilation.

This rainfall will last thirty minutes before abruptly ceasing. 1018-2 is activated by contact with the rainfall created from 1018-1. When active, six emaciated children will manifest from 1018-2's general area. The children will approach any individuals present and frantically request water. They are incorporeal, and thus are unable to consume water, even when it is provided to them. Twenty-five minutes after activation, the children will clutch their throats and fall to the ground, where they remain for an additional two minutes before disappearing. 1018-3 appears to have been heavily modified at some point in the past. Several parts of it appear to have been removed and replaced, most notably the left leg and the head. A small hole has been drilled into the left ear of the statue, suggesting something has been removed or inserted. 1018-3 is also activated by contact with rain generated from 1018-1, whereupon it will the phrase "Are We Cool Yet?" in a highly distorted male voice. The distortion of this voice will increase heavily, and the speech will continue for thirty minutes before silencing.

The envelope seals, and a stamp is affixed to it before it vanishes. The finished envelope will then appear inside the nearest mailbox on an active mail pickup route. All letters created appear as stereotypical ransom notes, the supposed writer of the letter claiming they have possession of one or more individuals important to the addressee, and makes demands that are to be met at a certain place and time in exchange for the victim's safe return. Removing the envelope from the mailbox in which it appears, preventing its delivery to the addressee, reading the envelope, or opening the envelope and reading the letter inside all appear to produce no ill effects. If the letter is read by the addressee, the stated victim will immediately vanish, regardless of their location or activity at the time. Meeting the demands of a 1020-crafted letter will invariably result in the return of the victim within 24 hours to their place of disappearance, or another nearby safe location, unharmed and with no memory of the time they were gone. The recipients of these letters are chosen seemingly at random. The letters themselves rarely make demands involving money, and in such cases, the money carries personal value to the recipient or victim.

'''SCP-1021''' is a set of 7 EXIT signs dating back to the 1940s. The anomalous effect of the signs will only manifest if one of them is placed directly over a door made of solid wood with no trappings. Any person opening a door with 1021 over it will find themselves exiting from a corresponding exit of an abandoned movie theater in Michigan. Each sign of 1021 belongs to a specific door in this theater, with the main entrance being the only door without a connection. Seeing that the anomaly is not just harmless, but outright useful, the Foundation has placed each 1021 instance across various sites to use as emergency exits. The effect is also present when 1026 is viewed indirectly, such as through camera feeds, although it can be mitigated in such cases by broadcast delay. When viewed in such a manner, or through other media such as photographs, 1026 appears as a blurry, roughly humanoid entity. It appears to "flicker", rapidly changing height, shape, and color. 1026 seems to be capable of speech, but its form of speech sounds extremely garbled and distorted to those not under its effect. Those who are under the effect perceive it as perfectly normal human speech appropriate for the given situation. 1026 has also displayed reasoning and problem-solving abilities on par with those of a human.

Neural composition in 1027 appears similar to that of a human, with the exception of the neuroglia. In addition to this, glial coatings on neurons of 1027 have been found to extend the full length of the cells, and are apparently permeable to neurotransmitter compounds. As a result, 1027 is capable of supporting itself outside the environment of a living body, although it is most comfortable in a saline water solution. 1027 seems to feed primarily on the neurotransmitters found within mammalian brain tissue. It consumes said transmitters through a process similar to osmosis, in which the neuroglia of 1027 extract and absorb certain compounds. Regular feedings render 1027 largely docile, reducing the risk of exposure. This effect is not limited to human observers, as dogs, cats, foxes, and other predators have been observed to act in a stunned manner when passed by a large enough flock. The sharp, high pitched mobbing call has a similar effect to the flocking. It not only calls more birds to the area, but also induces a dazed effect in predatory species. Affected individuals claim to have observed flashes of light punctuating each call. Those affected by either dazing method will enter a state of altered perception, lasting for a length of time proportional to the time spent viewing the birds or hearing their song.

In spite of 1030’s many differing components, the only reoccurring motif is '''SCP-1030-2''', a complex symbol that becomes engraved on the "back" of whatever 1030 is currently using for a head. 1030 expresses a periodic desire to copy this symbol onto other objects. Any objects marked with the symbol become instances of '''SCP-1030-3''', becoming both animate and hostile when separated from 1030, seeking out and attempting to harm any humans in any way possible. Removal or destruction of any portion of 1030-2 reverts the items to their original, inanimate state. 1030 is also able to control 1030-3 to an extent, as long as they are within range of it.

Setting the box to "Mark" causes stripes to be mysteriously painted on the vehicle as it runs the light. Human contact with this paint has proven that it is permanent and briefly painful on contact.

It has accurately predicted the deaths of thousands of individual organisms, the fall of several governments, the dissolution of hundreds of major agencies and institutions, and even the death of a language. The injuries he suffers at the conclusion of the loop mirror those with getting caught in the blast vicinity of a nuclear device. This belief carries proof in the fact that he involuntarily summons a vision-encompassing flash, a two-second burst of static heard from all directions, and is found to emit dangerously lethal amounts of high-energy radiation from his body.

The subject will then begin compulsively suturing their facial orifices, beginning with the mouth and progressing to the eyes, ears, and nose. After the process is completed, the subject returns 1034 to the location where contact was made and remains in a sitting or standing position corresponding to the original position of the subject. The subject then begins to perspire until all moisture has been exuded from the body. If death has not already occurred, the subject dies of dehydration during this period. The needle and thread were originally found in the clutches of "'''the Dollmaker'''", a sociopathic serial killer-turned-D Class who forced its effects on captured women for his twisted pleasure. Staff who have had their personal belongings transferred inside the doll report that the item disappears from their person and seems to instantly rematerialize within its body. The doll’s skull-like head has been known to turn towards agents within its cell independent of the body, as if staring at them. Many personnel have reported increasing discomfort and paranoia as the head continues to follow their movement across the chamber. Faucets in the house will begin to produce small amounts of saline during this time, despite the building not being connected to any water source.

The end of the message is different for each time it is written, varying by which ruler “proclaimed again” the message, and by altering the date accordingly. The landmarks, street names, and neighborhoods that manifest do not actually exist. Instead, small details are pieced together to form this new area, designated "'''Ground 1053'''". The scenery inside of Ground 1053 has been described as "extremely urban", and subjects have detailed the entire place as being a twist of asphalt and dirt streets, narrow roads, and tall glass buildings. The radius of Ground 1053 expands slowly, although external viewing is inaccurate due to its nature as a spatial anomaly. Subjects inside of Ground 1053 have reported that it is much bigger than it appears on the outside. Weather and natural phenomena such as lightning, rain, snow, and wind are able to occur inside of Ground 1053, although precipitation multiplies as it enters the area, keeping it at normal size. Other natural forces do affect Ground 1053. No organisms have ever been encountered inside of Ground 1053. Empty apartments and condominiums have been encountered, but no personal belongings have been discovered inside of these residences.

If there are objects on the surface that the grass is spreading on, it will simply grow around it, leaving a clear patch of floor underneath. If the object is removed and the gnome remains on the surface, the grass will grow over the clear patch. Plastic flowers and trees will sometimes grow from the grass. Under normal conditions, Bugsy superficially resembles a grizzly bear, though its volume, mass, and morphology shift spontaneously. The means by which the toy gains and loses mass is not understood, but it appears to be in relation to the number and proximity of individuals who are aware of it and the nature of the attention it receives from them. Hostile or fearful awareness of Bugsy increases its size and hostility significantly more than benign awareness, but due to its violent nature, even calm awareness of its existence can quickly spiral into a potential containment breach. In the event of mass exposure to human awareness, Bugsy will quickly be overwhelmed by its own size and will no longer be able to effectively move at will, though it will continue to grow and produce sensory organs and appendages which are used to assault any living creature within reach. Apart from its mass generation, Bugsy possesses no special ability to resist trauma. Portions of Bugsy’s biomass that are removed via trauma do not regenerate or continue living independently. It resembles a bearded Caucasian man in mid-19th-century formal wear. Its lower left arm does not terminate in a hand, but instead flattens and broadens into an axe blade almost 70cm across. Though this blade is made of wood, it is razor-sharp and almost metallic in its mechanical properties. When enraged, Freiherr is able to sever human heads and limbs in a single blow, and is able to chop through over 30cm of granite with no damage to the blade. Freiherr’s "clothes" are carved out of wood and are pieces of its body, with the exception of several cosmetic accessories all made of severely oxidized copper, and a tattered and faded Swastika armband on its upper right arm. Its power source is unknown, as are the methods by which it is able to see, hear, and think. Freiherr is not able to speak, but it can write in several dialects of German and French. Extensive testing has found that 1064 does not cause tissue of test subjects to age or degrade in any way, which might suggest their life expectancy has been shortened by it.

No author, print dates, or publishing information is contained within, although the materials have the appearance of being produced on a commercial printing press. The anomalous properties of 1065 become evident when someone makes physical contact with one or more of the books, at which point they begin to subscribe to the ideals contained within, even if they do not actually read the text. While this begins as a "mild agreement", prolonged exposure produces increased dedication to the principles in the books, eventually reaching such extremes as the instigation of violent uprisings against established governmental and educational systems, public vandalism and destruction of written texts, and the destruction of public storehouses of written texts such as libraries or book stores, the effects wearing off after contact with the books is broken. The subject seems to have lived those years as a university student, having graduated on the date written on the document, and earning a degree in whatever subject he was thinking of while signing the document. The text on 1066 will change to reflect this. The subject will have no memory of the four years not related to his subject of study. It is worth noting that a few subjects do not survive the four-year study period. In these cases, their corpse will return with the expected amount of decay.

This milk is non-toxic, but produces slightly higher levels of radiation than would be normally expected.

The objects tied to the shadows do not behave in an anomalous manner themselves. The shadows are dormant and stationary until an individual who has committed a crime in the last six months comes within ten meters of the objects they are tied to. At this point, 1002 will become active and manifest as dark humanoid figures similar in appearance to their dormant stage. They will then attempt to pursue the targeted individual, demonstrating high levels of agility and the ability appear to track their target through walls. If the targeted individual moves ten meters away from 1002, it will return to a dormant state at its original object. If the individual is caught, the shadows will inflict brutal physical punishments directly proportionate to the crime the individual has committed. Despite the severity of their punishment, the victim will remain alive and conscious until taken ten meters away from the shadows.

When the eggs enter the gastrointestinal tract of a human via consumption of contaminated food, they hatch into larvae which burrow into the host's tissues. It is at this stage that 1003's anomalous properties begin to manifest. Instead of developing into cysts, the larvae develop into creatures which resemble human embryos, hereby designated '''SCP-1003-2'''. The vast majority of 1003-2 die before they have a chance to develop, but those that survive are usually embedded in nutrient-rich tissue. As they develop, they absorb nutrients from the surrounding tissue, which often causes problems for their host. 1003-2's development mostly follows the pattern of normal human prenatal development, but at a faster rate. By 8 weeks, it is as mature as a 3-week-old neonate, though similar in size to an 8-week-old embryo. Once it has reached this stage, it will actively consume the host from within using sharp, hooked teeth, its growth accelerating to an even greater extent as it does so. By the time it has fully consumed the host, it will have developed into a child. The physical age of the child typically ranges from 10 months to 11 years, depending on the mass of the host. Once 1003-2 is finished, it will lose its hooked teeth and cannibalistic tendencies, from whereon it will be functionally indistinguishable from a human child in every aspect, with no knowledge or memory of its parasitic life. From this point, the only remaining anomalous properties are that their DNA is somehow still identical to that of a hydatid worm, and that their body fluids contain tapeworm protoscolex, which infect carnivores and develop into 1003, continuing the cycle.

After the logo fades, it is replaced by the words "What would you like to see?" At this point, a user may input any selection of words. Once a request has been input, the program will pull up several dozen images of pornographic content, each of which leads to a full video. Watching the videos has a cumulative effect on subjects. The more pornography is viewed, the more disturbing the subject’s sexual desires become, and the harder sexual gratification becomes. After approximately 100 straight hours of viewing pornography, even the most "normal" of viewers will display an interest in scatology, torture and murder, bestiality, pedophilia, and combinations of the above. The deadening of reactivity to sexual gratification will encourage them to either seek out such acts with other people in reality, or to mutilate themselves and their genitalia. The apparent "clothing" is integrated into its skin, save for the shirt at the sleeves and lower hem, and the pants below the ankles. The surface of 1005 and its "clothing" has an average tensile strength approximately 75% that of human skin, and it is unable to consciously control the viscosity or shape of its overall form beyond the normal locomotion of a humanoid body, though it can control its outer layer to a point where it can choose whether or not its paint will smear on contacting surfaces. The process by which 1005 was animated and remains unknown, as it only remembers "becoming aware" a few minutes before it was discovered and reclaimed by Foundation agents. 1005 is polite, professional, and extremely cooperative with the Foundation. It lacks most complex emotions beyond satisfaction, and comfort and has demonstrated only limited facial expressions outside of movements required to speak. It is perfectly able to count, speaks fluent English with a slight Northern-Midwest American accent, and can perform simple tasks. Abstract concepts, complicated mathematics, emotional responses, and existential topics such as religion leave 1005 confused, usually stating that it simply does not understand. The only driving force behind 1005's sapience is an apparent desire to make its owners "happy", usually through cooperating with testing protocols and serving as entertainment or still-life living artwork for personnel during recreational periods.

The webs appear to be very well maintained, with damage being repaired constantly. The surrounding area has a nauseating odor due to the presence of thousands of dead insects, individual spiders, and an occasional dead bird or small animal. Individuals within the colony have achieved sapience through unknown means, and have established a rudimentary system of government resembling Marxist communism. 1006 is a social community, with some members maintaining the web and others apparently chosen to maintain the agenda of the "whole". When supplied poster sheets and ink, 1006 can communicate with humans by creating signs written in English. Their communications are largely centered around demands for western imperialism to be dismantled and scathing critiques of the bourgeoisie. The leader of this government the self-proclaimed "'''Benevolent Leader'''", a large spider that resembles a wolf spider which has taken up refuge in the largest tree of the cluster. Studies have discovered that the members of 1006 utilize a central collective think-tank that passes on ideas of "Benevolent Leader" to the collective numbers through complex frequencies in the web. Communication relayed with "Benevolent Leader" has revealed that it views the outside world as "something that belongs to us that is merely being maintained by the bourgeois humanoids."

'''SCP-1008''' is a polished mass of obsidian measuring approximately 8cm in diameter at its widest point and weighing approximately 1.4 kg. An image of the sun is carved into one surface of the mass, surrounded by an untranslated inscription in what is believed to be an ancient Indonesian dialect. When the sun carving is pressed against the forehead of a living human, its anomalous effect manifests upon nightfall. In the first stage, which usually lasts one week, subjects affected by 1008 become unable to perceive the sun. They will no longer be able to see it, or see anything at all without the aid of artificial light. Physical reactions consistent with a complete deprivation of solar illumination, such as eye dilation, have also been observed, and extended exposure to sunlight does not affect or cause blindness in subjects. During the second stage, which lasts two to three weeks, subjects become unable to receive heat and solar radiation. They report feeling increasingly cold, and will exhibit a progressively paler skin tone, as well as symptoms of vitamin D deficiency and seasonal affective disorder. In the final stage, four to six weeks after initial exposure, subjects reportedly observe increasing unhealthiness in other living subjects. Plants appear wilted and stunted, and animals appear emaciated. Any sound over 60 decibels will stop growth in the immediate area, and the Foundation keeps the land restrained with mechanical speakers. The environment within 1009 appears natural, but is not composed of earthlike lifeforms. The flora is larger than most earth flora, and appears in bright, non-earth-like colors. Neither invertebrate nor vertebrate animal life is naturally occurring within the area. There is no effect on humans entering 1009, allowing for numerous samples and measurements to be taken.

'''SCP-1010''' is a humanoid of short stature that has leaves covering its body with only its face visibly uncovered. These leaves grow directly from [=1010's=] body, and are capable of rapidly changing species in order to camouflage itself from humans and animals. The rate of species change lasts an average of 10 seconds, and how it is achieved is unknown. [=1010's=] "face" is that of a Caucasian male in his 80s or 90s, with a large beard that is made of an unknown species of moss. Its skin is similar in appearance to tree bark, but has been shown to be very flexible and extremely durable. 1010 can also use its leaves as a defense mechanism, the species ranging from stinging nettles to Scottish thistles, as well as several unidentified species. It is to be noted that irritant chemicals produced from the stinging nettles on are much more potent than the natural equivalent. 1010 has shown intelligence equal to that of a chimpanzee and so far has not shown any signs of communication other than shouting and grunting. 1010 synthesizes glucose through an abnormally fast rate of photosynthesis. Water required is absorbed through its hands and feet, which have a physiological structure similar to roots. 1010 has displayed strength greater than what would be assumed from its size. 6 hours after sunrise, it will remain in a fixed position before carrying out its daily tasks. If it witnesses someone purposely damaging any plant life, it will immediately attack them with intent to kill. If 1010 is successful in killing a subject, it will proceed to cover their body in a sap-like substance that is secreted from its mouth before using it as fertilizer.

'''SCP-1011''' is a statue depicting a worker whose head has been replaced by an assortment of tools. The statue’s pedestal bears an inscription stating "Man is the most important means of production," and the year of casting is stated to be 1927. Material analysis has revealed the composition to largely be ordinary cast iron. 1011's anomalous properties manifest when it is seen by human subjects who engage in productive labor for a living, appearing approximately three hours after initial viewing and slowly escalating with additional exposure. Subjects who view the statue, designated '''SCP-1011-1''', will begin to demonstrate a heightened sense of morale and satisfaction, voluntarily work longer hours, and pay increased attention to their task. 1011-1 will also cease all activities other than work, sleep, and satisfying basic bodily needs. Subjects will then begin to show reluctance to use means of personal safety, such as helmets, gloves, or safety goggles, finding them "unnecessary" and "binding". Its body appears similar to most common reptiles, with the exception of an abnormally long tail. 1013 has been observed to use this tail to trip and distract large prey. The head of 1013 is distinctively avian, appearing to be that of a rooster lacking feathers and with an enlarged wattle. on first viewing, though the creature does not possess any standard avian markers. The beak is serrated, and appears to possess very basic, needle-like teeth used only in feeding. 1013 hunts by projecting an unknown form of radiation or memetic force into prey making eye contact with it. Subjects report a sudden stabbing pain in their muscles, with full paralysis setting in within three seconds. This paralysis continues for eight minutes, during which subjects are bitten by the creature. The creature’s bite will initiate a rapid change in the subject’s cellular structure. The outer skin tissues will begin rapid calcification, growing very dense and inflexible over several minutes. This process will extend from the point of contact outward across the body, calcifying a human being in fifteen minutes. This calcification extends approximately three centimeters into the body, leaving most internal tissues undisturbed. Prey items often die from blood loss or massive internal damage before feeding is complete, leaving the remainder of tissue to decompose within the calcified skin. The outer tissue will slowly break down, causing large sections to crack and fall free. This will expose muscle and internal tissues, which are then often predated upon by 1013.

Unlike others of its species, it has a tree-like trunk which broadens into a woody taproot protruding above the surface. While it is capable of photosynthesis, 1001’s leaves are singularly inefficient, producing only approximately 50% of the plant’s caloric requirements. Its roots are also unusually ineffective at uptake of organic and mineral nutrients. To mitigate this, the plant is an obligate carnivore that uses its prehensile leaves to capture passing prey and pull it into a rounded central cavity filled with a highly caustic solution of hydrochloric acid and digestive enzymes, where it is digested. 1001’s basic hunting tactics resemble those of a flounder, it burying its longest leaves in the sand and waiting for a sufficiently large animal to pass by, whereupon it suddenly emerges suddenly and captures the passing prey.
