* EpicFail: On the third alien planet that the dinosaurs colonized, which claims that they were a species that loved to skateboard, Rick decides to ride a skateboard down from the top of the crater to the bottom to investigate, a la ''Pro Skater 3''. He immediately screws it up and falls the entire way down, since, as Morty points out, that's actually one of the hardest moves in skateboarding.

* SheepInSheepsClothing: Rick, believing that the dinosaurs are TooGoodToBeTrue, decides to investigate the other planets they previously helped, and he and Morty discover that all of them were, like Earth, eventually struck by a huge asteroid that made all the dinos still living there go extinct, and now that they've returned to Earth again, another such asteroid is heading right for the planet. He comes back to Earth to reveal this to everyone, but finds that the dinos truly had no idea this was happening and are upset to learn about it. They really are as selfless and kind as they always appear to be, and decide fairly quickly to leave Earth to spare its population from being killed by the asteroid.

** The episode is named after ''Literature/JurassicPark''.

** The episode is named after ''Literature/JurassicPark''. A few more shout-outs abound, like Morty commenting "Clever girl!" about one of the dinosaurs and Rick putting on gloves like Laura Dern when she "got elbow-deep in dino doo-doo", at which point Rick and Morty lampshade both of these references.

** The President calls out Rick for ''Film/WestWorld''-ing him with a RidiculouslyHumanRobot that shorts out after trying to eat the ribs that he served up.

** The President also, after becoming bored of the dinosaurs' utopia on Earth, suggests that Rick "Film/ZeroDarkThirty" them.
** Rick tries skateboarding into one of the craters because it looks easy in ''[[VideoGame/TonyHawksProSkater Pro Skater 3]]''. Unfortunately for him, he's not nearly as good at it.

They genuinely didn't know about the meteor destroying all their civilizations and are horrified to learn about it.

Rick narrowly manages to convince them otherwise by putting himself on-site, betting that the dinosaurs' altruistic nature will prioritize his survival over their suicide, and using his tech to block their attempts to teleport him away, ensuring that the only way for the dinos to save his life is by destroying the meteor.

* StatusQuoIsGod: After "Rickmurai Jack", it seemed like NothingIsTheSameAnymore on the show for at least a while, and for the first half of this season, Rick has been unable to use portal travel and needed to use the black hole in space created in that episode to move between dimensions (or use his ship for all same-dimension travel). By the end of this episode, the dinos have repaired/closed the rift and Rick has fixed portal travel, resetting interdimensional travel back to where it has been for the vast majority of the show.

* BreakingTheFourthWall: Rick's fury at the dinosaurs fixing the rift in space-time:
-->'''Rick''': It was all canonical and shit! We could have milked that thing for another whole season, or a three-episode arc at least!

* CallBack:
** The episode starts with Rick watching the news, which reminds the characters and the audience that the space-time rift--originally created in "Rickmurai Jack" and utilized by the main characters in "Solaricks"--is still there. Near the end of the episode, though, the dinosaurs use their technology to fix it and close it up, since they "like being heroic".
** On the flipside, the fact that portal travel is still down is once again discussed, with part of the problem being that Rick resists fixing it every time Morty brings it up out of sheer stubbornness. Ultimately, the dinos fixing the space rift as mentioned above ''finally'' gives him the motivation to do it, and the episode ends with Rick showing that portal travel is back up again.
