* Foreshadowing: While explaining to Old Man Pearson of who he is, Matrix switches his icon to Game Sprite Mode. He forgets to switch it back, which leads to a little surprise at the end of the next episode's restart.

Added DiffLines:

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Old Man Pearson was never the most pleasant fellow, but he admits he was saddened by what allegedly happened to Enzo and expresses relief to see the kid survived.

* ContinuityCavalcade: The tears unleash tons of old User characters and Game Sprites:
** Zaytan from "Game Over."
** The Ash Williams parody from "To Mend and Defend."
** Santa Claus from "Firewall."
** The knight from "Quick and the Fed."
** The clown from "Identity Crisis."
** The spaceship from "The Tearing."
** The pterosaur airplane and the T-rex tank from "When Games Collide."
** The prisoner from "The Tiff."

** The suits of armor, carrots, and knight from "Wizards, Warriors and a Word from Our Sponsor."
** A shark from "[=AndrAIa=]."
** Rocky the Rabid Raccoon from "Between a Raccoon and a Hard Place."

* PrettyLittleHeadshots: Matrix shoots Zaytan in the head at point-blank range. There is no blood (alien or otherwise) or exit wound.

** The increasingly Megabyte simulations mocks Bob for this.

* AllForNothing: See the WhamLine. All their struggles have merely prolonged the inevitable.
* BigDamnHeroes: The plane/dinosaur hybrid nearly gets [=AndrAIa=], but it's then blasted by Capacitor's crew (who have commandeered an old CPU cruiser).
-->Capacitor: Ahoy there, milady. Care for an escort?
* BikerBabe: [=AndrAIa=] has helped herself to Megabyte's old bike and uses it to transport Old Man Pearson to the Principal Office.
* BigNo:
** The Megabyte simulations, as they break apart.
** Played for laughs when Mike the TV asks if there's room in this overcrowded show for him. Everyone in the room does this simultaneously, much to Mike's disappointment.

* DownerEnding: The city is doomed and there's nothing the protagonists can do to stop it.
* EyeScream: It's strongly implied that Matrix shot Zaytan in the eye as payback for their last encounter.

* InstantlyProvenWrong: Bob is unaware of why communications have been disconnected.
-->Bob: Looks like I'm on my own.\\
Megabyte: [appearing] Not exactly, Bob.
* MesACrowd: The Megabyte simulation quickly replicates itself to increase the mockery of Bob and try to break his resolve.

* MoodWhiplash: The initial destruction moments are played somewhat humorously (such as Sailor Moon getting hit by rubble), but a young child sees his parents fall to their deaths is played completely seriously.
* TheNeedsOfTheMany: Bob figures only a Guardian can survive prolonged exposure to the core. Dot doubts that's the case, but everyone will suffer if he doesn't try. By the time he's done working, he collapses from exhaustion. He can barely stand when he's dragged back to the control room.
-->Bob: System out of danger?
* OhCrap:
** Matrix when confronted by Zaytan.
** Phong when a User emerges in the control room.
* OnceDoneNeverForgotten: Slash points out that Hack told Megabyte about letting Cyrus go. Hack bemoans how Slash never lets that go.

* PyrrhicVictory:
** The increasingly Megabyte simulations mocks Bob for this.
--->Megabyte: Yes, you just saved one sector, but while you did, two others were destroyed! Guess there's no way to save them all. [laughs]
** The WhamLine reveals this is the overall case. They stopped the bleeding, but it's too late to actually save the system.

* WhamLine: "We have survived Megabyte's bane...but Mainframe is still doomed."

to:

** Two to Film/StarTrekIITheWrathOfKhan. While being taunted, Bob says he doesn't believe in the no-win scenario. After being saved from the core, he asks, "System out of danger?"
* ShutUpHannibal:
-->Megabyte: You'll never do it, Bob. It's hopeless.\\
Bob: I don't believe in the no-win scenario.\\
Megabyte: There's no way you can win, Bob. [Bob grabs onto a burning rod] No, you can't. I won't let you!\\
Bob: Try and stop me! [turns the rod]
* VillainForgotToLevelGrind: The first they fought, Enzo got whupped by Zaytan and lost an eye. As Matrix, he effortlessly turns the tables.
* WhamLine: "We have survived Megabyte's bane...but Mainframe is still doomed.""
* WhamShot:
** User characters emerging from tears, starting with Zaytan.
** Bob encountering a simulation of Megabyte in the core.

** A group of binomes dressed like the Sailor Scouts show up. The one that looks like Usagi/Serena even begins a transformation sequence...only to be crushed by some rubble.

With Mainframe starting to crash, the sprites must work fast to save their city. While the rest evacuate the remaining citizens into the Principle Office, Bob must go down and turn off the power to lessen the stress. However, corrupted RAM recreates User characters from past games!

!!This episode has examples of

* BigWhat: "C'mon, Al, you don't wanna be the last one in." "WHAT?!"
* TheBusCameBack: This episode features the return of binomes who haven't been seen since the second season; Mr. Pearson, Al's Waiter and Al (Off-screen, as usual) to name a few.
* CallBack:
** The User from "To Mend and Defend" is defeated by Frisket, who that User shot in his game.
** Matrix goes up against the User that defeated him in "Game Over", this time winning.
* TheCameo: The roller-skating waiter from Al's, Fax Modem and Data Nully briefly show up during the montage of Mainframe collapsing.
* IShallTauntYou: It turns out that Megabyte left a recreation of himself in the power controls to mock whoever would try to save the system.
* MoodKiller: The touching moment between Bob and Dot is interrupted again...this time by Rocky, the Rabid Raccoon.
* PairTheSpares: Mouse and Ray Tracer start to show an interest in each other starting with this episode.
* ShoutOut:
** A group of binomes dressed like the Sailor Scouts show up. The one that looks like Usagi/Serena even begins a transformation sequence...only to be crushed by some rubble.
** The eightball from Bob's apartment chases a binome dressed like Franchise/IndianaJones while fitting music plays.
* WhamLine: "We have survived Megabyte's bane...but Mainframe is still doomed."
