** Overhearing Klinger offering to give Sung Lee a bed jacket as a gift, Potter acknowledges the corporal's sincerity, whispering quietly to a nurse:

* SeriesContinuityError: When the surgeons discuss who should operate on Sung Lee, Hawkeye claims he can’t as he has never delivered a baby. He delivered Mrs Kwang's baby in [[Recap/MashS3E20LoveAndMarriage "Love and Marriage".]]

** Hawkeye mentions that Trapper has gone stateside when introducing Meg Cratty to B.J.

* MundaneMadeAwesome: Col. Potter's dramatic reading of a rifle maintenance manual and making it sound like an adventure story for the kids sharing his tent. It becomes so awesome, in fact, that he becomes engrossed and continues reading it after the kids fall asleep.

* ActuallyPrettyFunny: When Potter asks Hawkeye if Frank really does Margaret's toenails, Hawkeye answers that Frank's father is a world-famous manicurist. Potter smiles, chortling.

* {{Pun}}: To explain that Androcles was fed to the lion for being a Christian, B.J. states that, "Not only was Androcles very kind, he was also very gentile." This draws a seriously DisapprovingLook from Hawkeye.

* TheTag: [[ButNowIMustGo And Now We Must Go]]. Nurse Cratty, the orphans, and Sung Lee and her newborn baby head back to the orphanage at the end of the episode.

Following a long operating session comes two pieces of news: one, Frank has been awarded a Purple Heart after getting [[spoiler:egg]]shell fragments in his eye during a recent artillery bombardment. Two, another round of shelling has forced Nurse Cratty to evacuate her orphanage, prompting them to spend a night or two at the camp. Hijinks, more wounded, and an emergency Caesarean section ensue.

** When introducing Nurse Cratty to B.J., Hawkeye mentions that Trapper John has gone stateside.
