The episode has Felix babysitting Poindexter at his house, with Poinsy painting a mask of himself while Felix is reading a book nearby. Felix is impressed by how well it captures the kids likeness, and Poinsy allows him to try it on. The doorbell rings, and Felix rushes to answer it, only to be grabbed and stuffed in a sack by Rock Bottom, who carries him off. Elsewhere, Rock establishes a communication with Master Cylinder, who is his employer at the moment. Master Cylinder inquires if Rock succeeded in capturing Poindexter. Rock informs him that he has him captured and asks for a $100,000 fee upfront, but the cyborg tells him to be patient and tells him to put Poindexter on the nose cone of a rocket set to go to Mars at 1900 sharp, the Big Dipper. Rock takes his catch there, and takes an elevator up to the tip of the rocket. He opens the hatch and puts the bag inside, just moments before it takes off into outer space. Just moments later, the rocket passes by Mars and drops off the tip of it, which parachutes down to the surface with its cargo. Master Cylinder watches this play out through a telescope, and he is eager that with Poindexter's Super Rocket Fuel to power his rocketships, he'll be able to conquer Earth. He pulls the bag out of the capsule, and brags to Poindexter that he's got him--only for Felix to take off the mask and bag and tell him "That's what you think!" Master Cylinder is surprised at this turn of events as Felix demands to know why he's been dragged all the way to Mars, while Cylinder questions how Felix got into the bag in the first place. Felix announces that he's going back home, but Master inquires how. Felix stops to think about this for a moment, which gives Master enough time to spring a metal sphere trap to capture the cat.

Later, Master reestablishes communication with Rock Bottom, and chastises him for bungling the kidnapping of Poindexter. Rock is shocked at the mistake, but Master orders him to stop blubbering and get the real Poindexter on the next rocket to Mars ASAP. Meanwhile, Felix is still trapped inside the metal sphere, and is worried about Poindexter's welfare. Back on Earth, Poindexter wonders where Felix has gone, and he hears the doorbell ring. He answers the door, and Rock Bottom manages to capture him in a bag for real. On Mars, Felix ponders how he can get out of the "Martian pillbox", when his old friend Martin the Martian abruptly teleports in front of him in response to this. They greet each other again, and Martin uses his 4th Dimensional Space Capsule to help escape. Felix tells him about Poindexter, and Martin informs Felix that he's due to be sent to Mars on the next rocket. Martin teleports them both back to Earth, just in time for Rock to start loading Poindexter onto the rocket. Felix steps in front of the bag as Rock prepares to put it in, with Martin standing behind the bully. Felix headbutts Rock and he trips over Martin, landing right inside the cone of the spaceship just as it takes off for Mars. Poindexter demands to be freed, and they hastily untie him. Poindexter shakes hands with Martin as Felix laughs. The only time Master Cylinder is in an episode without the Professor but with Rock Bottom (not counting "Public Enemies Number 1 and 2)
