The story is focused back on Takuma again, first introduced in Episode 14. After the recent tragedies that have occurred in his family, Takuma is suspected of having murdered his mother and gravely wounded his father, but has not been arrested due to the lack of evidence. The townspeople continue to suspect him, and call him the "devil's child." As Takuma tries to piece his life back together, he meets a young girl, Seri, who happened to live near him before her house was torn down to make way for a train station that never materialized. Having been emotionally attached to the house, she intends to have her revenge against at least one of the persons who had ordered her house's destruction in the first place. After selecting her target, Mr. Hasue, she deliberately gets into a relationship with him and blackmails him after he realizes that she is a minor. Although she intends to extort a large sum of cash from him, his wife has other plans in mind. She pulls the red string on the doll, before she hears motor crash outside, which means Seri has been sent to Hell. Meanwhile, Takuma encounters Kikuri. Kikuri tells him that Jigoku Shoujo is there, answering his previous question to him which she has left ignored after being stopped by Ai at Takuma's house before. However, Jigoku Shoujo is not after him. When Takuma realises who the victim is, he rushes after Seri, but Takuma is too late to save her. The next scene showes up, showing Ai is rowing the boat to the hell. Seri is seen to beg Ren and Ai to be returned to the mortal world, but the boat has already passed into Hell's Gate. The episode ends with Takuma crying near Seri's motorcycle.
