* UnexplainedRecovery: Those who saw Kamek's appearance in the trailer and were hoping for an explanation on how he survived total depowering in the [[Recap/GoomzillaE8LuigisQuest previous episode]] were quite disappointed.

* NotMeThisTime: Out of all the suspects in Yoshi and the Lost Egg, Bowser is the only one who did not interfere with the Yoshis in any way. In fact, the route to the best ending requires that you stay as far away from Bowser's Castle as possible, period.

* BittersweetEnding: The Escape Ending, the Karma Ending, and the Mushroom Ending. The Francis Ending also qualifies to a lesser degree, since we don't know where the Mario Bros. are, and Francis is probably mad at Yoshi for hitting him...assuming it didn't kill him.

* SomethingCompletelyDifferent: Very different from Goomzilla's usuals works, simply put. Goomzilla even advertised it as "a twist".

* ShoutOut: To ''WesternAnimation/TheSimpsons'', of all things. When Wario and Waluigi are reading a cookbook that says "Cooking With Birdo Eggs"--with "eggs" covered up with Waluigi's hand--Goomzilla recalls a similar joke happening in the first ''WesternAnimation/TreehouseOfHorror''.

* TheUnexpected: Almost nobody expected Birdo to be the culprit who stole Yoshi's egg.

* KarmaHoudini: Played with in Yoshi and the Lost Egg. After Birdo defeats them and reunites with her baby, you have the option to punish them for their misdeeds or telling Birdo about the lost egg. The latter option is just a click away to the best ending, indicating that returning the lost egg was more important than disciplining Wario and Waluigi. By giving them LaserGuidedKarma through picking the other ending, you're just making the other Yoshis wait for an egg that will never come. That being said, [[MamaBear Birdo does give them a good butt-whooping either way]].

How this is set up is Goomzilla has made multiple videos showing all the possible branches and endings of this adventure, but with the obvious exception of the prologue, they're all locked videos. Viewing them either requires selecting the choices from the end of the branches or the video descriptions...or just giving up and checking out the playlist for all of the possible routes.
