On the way home from her Hatsumōde visit, Mana witnesses a yōkai dragging a human corpse. According to Medama-Oyaji, that was the yōkai called Kasha. Kasha is a yōkai that loves to eat corpses. In the past, he used to steal corpses from funerals and crematories, causing havoc. However, the one Mana saw was weak and immediately dropped the corpse, fleeing upon being noticed.
