* ThirtyMinutesOrItsFree: Orson Express' motto is "We'll have it there in half a day, or not one penny do you pay, and if we should deliver late, you'll get a gift that's really great!" Orson tries to deliver a package to Hermit Crabbe, but keeps getting Pun hounded by Rufus, his pet dog. In the end, Orson ends up delivering his package one minute late, and that Hermit Crabbe wanted him to send the package to Rufus.
* AGoodOldFashionedPaintWatching: When Orson returns to his stand and asks Booker if anything happened while he was gone, Booker tells him he watched the paint on his sign dry, as it was the most exciting thing about being a mailman.
* Balloonacy: Orson uses a bunch of balloons to carry him up to the top of the tree where Hermit Crabbe's house is. Rufus T. Crabbe uses a nail to pop the balloons.
* MailmanVsDog: Orson and Rufus take on these respective roles, as the former tries to deliver a package to Hermit Crabbe, while the latter tries to attack the former.
* OilSlick: One of the ways Rufus tries to stop Orson from climbing the tree that leads to Hermit Crabbe's house is by pouring oil on the tree, causing Orson to slip on it.
* SelectiveMagnetism: Orson uses metal cleats to climb the tree that leads to Hermit Crabbe's house. Unfortunately for him, Rufus uses a magnet to pull the cleats off.

Jon is offered a high-tech security system by Mr Fluster. Jon refuses, but the next day, all of his furniture is stolen except the television. While Jon logs a police report, assuming that the robber won't rob him twice, he decides to have the maximum security system installed. As Jon, Garfield and Odie return from a movie, they see that the security system has been installed, before Mr.Fluster appears and asks for their password. Jon doesn't know the password since Mr.Fluster has it. Sadly Jerkass Mr.Fluster disbelieves him and keeps demanding the password.

Just then the robber returns and manages to enter the house through the window while they're bickering. Garfield and Odie accidentally trip the alarm, as they had the same idea as the robber. While Mr.Fluster checks on it, Jon gets trapped in the trap despite Mr.Fluster's warning. To makes matters worse, he also trips the alarm, letting the robot who's chasing Garfield and Odie turn its attention towards him. As the robber exits the house, Garfield and Odie give chase until he crashes into Mr.Fluster and the robot, getting caught red handed.

As the police arrive, Mr.Fluster apologizes to Jon and removes all of the security. Soon the only security installed is a BigRedButton, which Jon presses. This gets both him and Mr. Fluster captured, and the 'password' conversation begins again.
