* AnAesop: Honesty is the best policy. In Emmy's case, if you broke somebody's belonging, even if it was an accident, you owe it to them to come clean about it.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Afraid to confront Wheezie, Emmy puts up Cassie to tell her Zak didn't break the trumpet so she'll stop being angry at him. It works, for a moment. The problem is, Wheezie still wants to know who broke it, and when Cassie won't say, Wheezie is quick to jump to the conclusion that Cassie's trying to hide ''she'' broke the trumpet. So now Wheezie's angry at Cassie.

* IHaveAFriend: In order to not out herself, Emmy looks to Quetzel for advice by telling a hypothetical story about her situation. She tells about a mouse who wore a red ribbon who accidentally broke something belonging to a two-headed turtle, but doesn't know how to tell the truth without make the two-headed turtle mad. Quetzel sees through the story and tells Emmy that if he were "the mouse", he would "tell Wheezie [he] broke the trumpet".

* EasilyForgiven: Wheezie asks Zak and Cassie if they can ever forgive her for so easily accusing each of them for having broken her trumpet. Both parties are pretty cool with it, all things considered.
* ForWantOfANail: Ord is the one to voice how Wheezie's trumpet is the most important part of the concert, because it alerts every single person when to play their instrument.
