The hosts begin to examine Shao Kahn, ruler of Outworld and konquerer of various other realms as well, though it hadn't always been that way. The Elder Gods had assigned Shao Kahn to protect Outworld, where he became a chief advisor to the dragon king Onaga. They conquered several worlds together, but feeling the need to control everything, Kahn soon poisoned Onaga and taking Outworld as his own and ruling it with an iron fist.

Then just as Shao Kahn was once again gloating, Bison emerged from the rubble as Final Bison, then initiated a powerful Psycho Crusher before sending a vicious flurry of punches from all sides. However, Shao Kahn punched him away, and after a few Spike Charges to push Final Bison back, he took the Wrath Hammer to his fallen foe and struck until the SuperForm wore off. Just then, he hoisted the body and forcefully ripped it in two, but Bison has other plans, his soul attempting to possess the mighty Kahn's body, but it became fruitless the moment Shao Kahn sent out his Soul Tornado, absorbing it as one of his.

'''Shao Kahn:''' Shao Kahn is the evil ruler of Outworld (and conqueror of other worlds). The Elder Gods assigned Shao Kahn to protect Outworld. He became the chief advisor to the dragon king Onaga. They conquered several worlds together, but Kahn soon poisoned Onaga to have all the power for himself.

His main weapon is the Wrath Hammer which is used as both a throwing and a melee weapon. Kahn is a master of dark magic, which he uses for brainwashing, teleportation, minor telekinesis, and can create energy constructs of weapons. Despite living an an entirely different dimension, Kahn is a master of two variants of Chinese Kung-Fu: Tai Tzu and Lui He, which focus on powerful strikes and solid defense.

Kahn has a wide arsenal of moves, but one really good one is the Emperor's Shield, which deflects all incoming projectiles back at an opponent. He finishes his fights with one-liners and brutal finishers. He is a living tank, absolutely obliterating all those who stand before him. He has survived lethal blows time and time again, but his constant victories leads to a sense of arrogance that is definitely not helpful, as he sometimes pauses in the middle of fights to monologue or taunt his opponent, leaving himself open.

His endurance and longevity stems from his ability to absorb the souls of defeated foes. Over time, he has managed to trick the Elder Gods and even came close to ultimate victory (and he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those time-traveling thunder gods). One of his greatest victories was conquering Edenia and claiming Queen Sindel and Princess Kitana as his own wife and daughter.

'''M. Bison:''' Bison is the psychopathic founder and leader of the Shadaloo. He is incredibly wealthy, and after murdering his parents at a young age, he was found and raised by a tribe of gypsies. They trained him in SoulPower, but he expelled the good part of his soul to utilize the darker and edgier version: Psycho Power.

Bison quickly built his criminal empire, and though he intends to take over the world, his motives aren't what you would expect. He's actually just an eco-terrorist.

Anyway, his Psycho Power is used for flight, brainwashing, possession of others. His fighting style focuses on speed and offense. He can shoot balls of energy and teleport.

He is extremely cocky, but he is very durable. He has been shot, electrocuted, and crushed by a building, yet can always continue the fight. The only street fighter who has truly beaten him is Akuma (however, he's one of the only people in history to take Akuma's Shun Goku Satsu or Raging Demon attack and not get his soul destroyed) and Psycho Power degrades his body if used to his full potential. That is why Final Bison (the SuperMode where he doesn't hold back) is so dangerous, yet the raw power of Final Bison practically guarantees victory. Even if his body is damaged beyond repair, his soul can possess a nearby person with a compatible body.

After an ad from Game Fly, IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!

Shao Kahn is in a building with two of his minions. Bison teleports near one of the minions and kills them. Kahn kills his other minion and the two face off.

Bison is the first to attack, but his kick is countered by Kahn and he is thrown backwards. Kahn throws his hammer and Bison, who teleports out of the way and gets right next to Kahn, whom he hits with a series of legs sweeps, punches, and throws. He tries to brainwash Kahn but fails, and he finds himself at the end of a melee combo courtesy of Kahn.

He teleports to safety and eventually breaks Kahn's defense. He carriers his foe into the air and performs a MeteorMove, but Kahn gets up. Bison creates a barrage of energy balls, but they are all deflected back to him by Kahn. Bison is blasted backwards into a pillar by his deflected attack, and Kahn moves in, sending an energy spear into his shoulder and punches Bison several times. A kick sends Bison skidding along the ground where he crashes into a pillar that crumbles onto him.

Bison transforms into Final Bison, and gets in a series of blows, but Kahn quickly counter-attacks and has Bison on the ground. He bashes Bison's head with his hammer, rips his body in half, and then absorbs his soul.

While Bison is one of the best street fighters, Kahn has thousands of years of experience and has brutal tenacity. Also, Kahn's otherworldly makeup would make it hard for Bison to possess him, and Kahn's experience in brainwashing means he can protect himself from it.
