Harry has a dream in which he's at Angels Flight with his mother. Then he gets on the train and sees someone who looks like Eleanor Wish. He wakes up in a start and sees his daughter, who asks about the funeral of his mother. Harry tells Madeline that Marjorie Lowe got no funeral, because he was only a boy and there was no other family.

Harry receives a visitor who claims to be a Chinese policeman. It's Shiwei Chen from the "Ministry for State Security"--the man at Eleanor's poker game. When Chen asks if Maddie has been in contact with Reggie Woo, Harry takes it as a threat and promises to kill Chen if he comes near Maddie.
Chief Irving has a contentious meeting with Mayor Ramos. Ramos, angry that Frankie Sheehan was released, says he's going to side with the protestors.
